  1. Sort of like at the airport when something embarrassing and "unmentionable" goes off in your luggage I too have ordered one - thanks for updating us especially with regards to the smoothness and safety of both the can and the removed lid p
  2. Looks like mineral calcification Had you been using distilled water? That's what the APO recommends p

  5. A question - the lid of the can doesn't have a sharp edge, but what about the can itself? p

    Toaster ovens

I have an air fryer, a Breville smart oven and an APO (steam oven) - I use them all depending on my desied end result - the air fryer probably gets the most use due to its speed and efficiency I too cook for one p

    Food recalls

Tyson Foods recalling 30k lbs of chicken nuggets: https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/05/economy/tyson-recalls-30-000-pounds-of-chicken-nuggets/index.html p
  11. Just follow the same procedure you used to squish the bread the first time, but lower the vac time and yes you want to seal it p
  12. Being one of the friends, I would have to agree 😀 p
  13. What you want to do is reduce the level of vacuum - lower the vac level (time) to about 15 seconds - not familiar with your machine, so that's a guess If you want to be sure, follow Kerry's suggestion - freeze it, then vac p
  14. @TdeV Both machines work well - I use the smaller one (1 lb loaf) when I don't foresee the need for much bread - the larger one (2 lb loaf) does when I expect a lot of sandwiches I asked if someone had found one that was an unexpected improvement on either of those machines - they both have drawbacks (hard to read LCD panel on both) but both are very servable p
  15. Another EDIT! of my original post My bread machines are BOTH Zojirushis - the one I miss identified as a Breville was in fact the Home Bakery Virtuoso® Breadmaker BB-PAC20 Next time I'll put a little more thought into my words 😒 p
  16. I should have added my Zo is the Zojirushi BB-HAC10 p
  17. I have a Breville Virtuoso and a Zojirushi - both were highly rated at the time and both do good loaves - but times change - what's your take? p
  18. Have you considered a stone instead of a steel - maybe not as good but cheaper p
  19. Appreciate the weight and convenience aspects - but your oven will take longer to preheat due to the increased heat mass p
  20. @blue_dolphin - mine are similar to yours https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B099J5YZZX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 What I like is the small size which clings to your hand and the dexterity they lend and the "grippy" bits make them dependable p

    Air Fryers

Air fryer/convection oven/APO = Good heating element/strong fan The secret to an air fryer's success/popularity is it's limited capacity which amplifies everything' p
  23. Works for me and I'm up here too 😀 p
  24. I would suggest without because of more heat mass - besides how often will you be handling it when it is hot? p
