Simple pickled celery.

Beautiful photographs and a dramatic demonstration of the changing seasons and their relationship to the position of the sun but you do seem to have annoyed the gods of all things mechanical. 😂

I know it looks familiar. But I do try to inject some variety where I can. First this is for breakfast not for lunch. Second it is photographed in a completely new area of my house. And thirdly it wasn’t what I planned. it is still just Domino’s Pizza from the freezer reheated in the Breville Smart oven because I have forgotten the instructions given to me by @Ann_T, if I remember correctly, for reheating it in the Cuisinart steam oven.

Right after we get the groan button could we please get the sheesh button?

I have never found much that can improve simply roasted cauliflower except for one recipe whose flavours are incompatible with Souvlaki. So I say go with the souvlaki, some Tzatziki and plain roasted cauliflower.

Roast beef on toasted rye with horseradish mayo. Not all that exciting on its own but this was served with a side of Murder on the Orient Express with Kenneth Branagh. I know. I know I should practice mindful eating. I was mindful that my dinner needed something to boost its excitement level.

Damn. I have everything the recipe calls for except the celery.
-
I am with you on the green bell peppers. But I cut some slack for celery.

I call this miracle bread. It’s a freaking miracle that she can find time to bake bread given her schedule which I am all-too-familiar with in the midst of this crisis.

Oh, he will get the reference of that I am sure.

I KNOW! Claims to be German but I’m pretty sure he’s from Missouri.

The easy way to do this would be to say check what I had for lunch yesterday – – guess what — I’m having the same today. But I committed to being as contributive as I could given the circumstances. NO! It is not the same slice of pizza that I showed you yesterday. Try and line up those pieces of pepperoni!

Thank you. I think we all need to be reminded that this too shall pass.

One of our grocery chains is locking the floor in the checkout lines to encourage appropriate distancing. I think that’s a great idea.

Neither fish nor fowl, as they say! Started out to be an omelet filled with lightly sautéed, jarred artichoke and cheese. But I chose a pan that was not quite up to the job and so in order to complete the cooking I had to give it some time under the broiler. So sort of a frittataed omelet? Went down rather well even so.

Quite frequently I hear a very loud bang from my CSO just after I sit down to eat whatever was in there cooking! I think it’s just metal cooling and contracting.

I am with you on this. I’ve tried a couple in the past and the bitterness makes them pretty much inedible and I am not afraid of a little bitterness. I wonder if the recipe testers are using lemons with very thin rinds.

Thanks. Very useful information.

Leftover pork chop and frozen broccoli with one small piece of carrot also left over from last night. The frozen broccoli was purchased probably a months ago and was surprisingly good. I found it far better than the frozen broccoli I remember from years back. I would definitely buy it again. It’s not that I can’t prepare fresh broccoli it’s just that it’s nice to have things in the freezer.

not in the least inspiring but I’m determined to post what I can when I can. Domino’s Pizza from the freezer. My lunch. In its favour you will note there are no green peppers, lentils, chickpeas or even corn so it will offend fewer people.

Both!

Wine? My cleaning lady has remarked about my couch scotch. I keep it beside me on the floor right beside the couch.

This might work in the appropriate vessel but I don’t think it will work in the one I use.But I thank you I have sworn off vegetables cooked sous vide.
-
Inspired by this pork chop and carrots both were sous video. After 2 1/2 hours at 85°C the carrots were still at a stage where my dentist would have advised against eating them if I expected to keep my few remaining teeth. I swore off sou viding vegetables before and I’m swearing it off again.
