@dtremit thank you . I believe those pans were recommended by @JoNorvelleWalker a while back. I have a set that fit the CSO thanks to that advice

Ill call this a late breakfast , during the heat wave TJ's made it , but I used to and the Rx is included I add this here as some might not follow the TJ's thread if there isn't a Tj's near them : I also got a tub of this : Chicken Curry Salad http://www.floridafoodlover.com/2014/09/trader-joes-curried-chicken-salad.html its delightful ! this is a different container chunks of chicken , tender and moist some raisins , grated carrot for crunch green onion, cashews touch of honey . delightful ! I make something similar , but never added a touch of honey nor gratred carrot. Ill try to remember those additions in a lettuce wrap on a hot day : nice indeed and make-your-own : https://www.thechroniclesofhome.com/2013/09/curry-chicken-salad.html

@dtremit nice work what TeamFar pan did you use ? Im sure i have some but unless you took your pic straight down i don't have one with a vary shallow lip[ keep up the good work. toast is really a very individual sort of item for the CSO if the bread is really fresh , the sealed ' box ' adds a dimension to the toast that can't be duplicated any other way it also interesting to me that the toast setting , my CSO V1 goes to 7 and sometimes id wished an 8 or so and some people report very well done on lower settings toast i used to buy a long time ago that i loved was Pepperidge farm Toasting white could not find it on their site maybe D/C'd?

as menu of you know , its been very hot and very humid on the E.Coast for several days. several days too many. its beginning to cool today , and by tomorrow , back to OK. its been way to hot to cook , and even too hot to slice a tomato , and some SV Turkey. that hot. to put it into perspective some of you might understand : even too hot for ice cold M.R. Trader Joes to the rescue . 85 yest AM so went to TJ's and got several of their Wraps. they wraps at TJ's are quite good the selection is large , and their might be something in that collection that Talks to You. Market Basket has one or two. but not so many TJ's is closer the fillings / price ration is good. I take one out of the refrig , Mico ( yes Micro ) until close to room temp a lot for flavor @ room temp. I open the wrap and add this or that. re-roll and enjoy. excellent when its so hot and humid there are probably heat Bubbles in your brain too hot for M.R. ? see I also got a tub of this : Chicken Curry Salad http://www.floridafoodlover.com/2014/09/trader-joes-curried-chicken-salad.html its delightful ! this is a different container chunks of chicken , tender and moist some raisins , grated carrot for crunch green onion, cashews touch of honey . delightful ! my plan was to update my Amps in my kitchen. oddly there is one 20 amp for the whole kitchen , but 6 outlets previous homeowners certainly were either very cheap when a small addition was place on the kitchen and second floor making a ' strait narrowish ' kitchen into an L shape. or got taken for a ride. sloth have prevented me from following through I think 2 CSO's would add exceptional flexibility veg in one , meats in the other ? Id have to fine a place for my 3d for toast though.
-
@Smithy "I think we'll get a better toaster before too long " ideal reason for a second working CSO if you have the Amps in the kitchen. space on the counter : get rid of something not so useful

Heston Blumenthal had a show a few years ago part of a series : better snacks at the Cinema , better airplane food etc and as a British Astronaut was about to fly on the IntSS it was devoted to space food. this was the part mentioned in the fine article about an individual astronaut's personal favorites. but HB took some time talking about the redistribution of fluids in the astronauts , nasal congestiong fluid accumulating around the tongue etc issues w crumbs . and also , the little mentioned problems w aromas on the IntSS : apparently it's a good think you have lost your sense of smell : the air is ' scrubbed " for sure but so many little molecules of offensiveness can't be taken out of the IntSS air who knew ?

I remember the mercury program well. I was at the right age to be fascinated. My family and I ( on the west coast ) stayed up until the wee wee hours to see the first launch delay after delay B&W Tube TV of course. and hit took my sister and I forever to get my mother to buy a jar of Tang. I tried as best as i could to like it but 1/2 of it stayed on the shelf for a long long time. My mother of course pointed this out to us from time to time. Savings and Loans proliferated in CA at that time. One , Great Wester offered Space Food for any new deposit it was a foil packed of freeze dried Ham and Peas. I took my small saving out of the competitor across the street and deposited the minimum. topped it up w the miminum for another pack of Space Food. I didn't put the S&L out of buisness but they did run out of Space Food. you ate the ham and peas dry. salty and crunchy it was.

my firend is looking for chops like this ; can't say what they are called . pic , for review purposes from one of the Kosher on-lines above kosher is always more expensive , and on-line really really expensive. i have no interest kosher per se , but am helping a friend. I doubt anyone here has bought from any of these places if they are kosher , they might be living in a ' kosher area ' and work with what they can get after a few daya illl suggest my friend visit these refs, look at the cost , and the total cost w shipping ask for 1 1/2 " chops as above , and remember the pics on the web are staged Ill ask him to look into ' satisfaction garauteed " and try to get something from the west coast anther than the east.

of note : its in Sweden ! what do they know of Beef ? Fish , fresh and smoked and pickled : for sure . Smorgasboard ? absolutely ! Rendeer ? you bet that vile herb drink served Ice Cold , preferably from bottle encased in Ice : Akvavit but beef , and The Burger ? guess BK is counting on their ignorance no other way to see this. Try this in Kansas or Texas not likely

A friend of mine is Kosher. he is not a great cook if even that but he has started to grill and asks me to look into some Kosher meat on line. he lives in the East Bay and there is a kosher butcher there, but the meat is terrible I can attest to that. at a local Tj's he has found Kosher Rib-eys and he has grilled them and found them to be delicious to his owns taste , BBQ technique aside he is looking for an over all high quality butcher on line that is ale Kosher Ive found a few via google : https://www.growandbehold.com/lamb-chops/ for some nice looking loin lamb chops https://www.growandbehold.com in general and https://www.glattkosherstore.com/fresh-lamb and https://seattlekosher.com/#!_/Seattle but no loin chops he understand the added expense of On-Line , but whishes to make the most of it interim of flavor mostly lamb , loin , possible shoulder chops but he grilled a SC from the KB locally and found it to be all grizzle. thanks

eggs + tomato ( sauce or not ) are a fine combo one I frequently forget consider : ) 1 fine the perfect tomato sauce / salsa to your taste 2 ) heat up in a shallow pan , with lid just to simmer 3 ) drop in gently an egg or two , to create a pocket in the sauce so that the egg can poach gently cover w a see thorough liid if you have one . when the tops of the eggs , hopefully above the sauce , are just done , you dish is done. if you have one of those shallow oval porcelain dish-et things , do it all in the CSO the dish will be your serving dish
