  1. Geez all that looks so good. I love sushi.
  2. I would also need a contractor to expand my kitchen counters.
  3. My husband smoked a whole chicken yesterday. It wasn't quite done when we were ready for dinner so I put it in the Cuis for a while. OH it was so good. Then, I got to try out the steam clean function. It was fun and easy Cleaned right up just like new.
  4. Well, then, that should do it.

    4th of July

BUMP Boy, my cooking has changed since even last year........ We're cold smoking some ribs right now to be done in the Instant Pot tomorrow. Smoked chicken will be tonight. Still trying to figure out what I want for sides. What is everyone else doing?
  6. I think that basil will perk right up. I'd pick the tops off that are beginning to flower.
  7. My mom has asked the dimensions of the Cuis. I think we have pushed her over to our dark side.
  8. It's just about happy hour.....
  9. Well, you are an enabler. Because of your poutine I have been thinking for hours about what I could make to put gravy on tonight.

    Dinner 2016 (Part 6)

LOL yes I have a special SV set up......takes a few hours but then presto.... Sauce is just run-of-the-mill cocktail sauce. Ketchup, horseradish and lemon juice.
  11. Oh I love Clamato juice. The can that says Hot Chicken Sandwich is gravy? And maybe there are popsicles happening soon?

    Dinner 2016 (Part 6)

    SV'd steaks last night
  13. Made baked taters last night. Phenomenal. We both agreed they were the best baked taters we've ever had. Fluffy and creamy at the same time. I even ate the skin which I never do. 55 mins on bake/steam and then I used the keep warm feature until the rest of dinner was ready.

    Dinner 2016 (Part 6)

Yup Dinner envy going on here
  15. I've been thinking about the pretzel process and comparing it to when I make bagels. I boil the formed bagels in water for about 30 seconds on each side. I wonder if I could brush them with water and simply steam them and then bake?
  16. I vote that the other doctor goes
  17. Spent this afternoon playing I decided to make something from the manual that came with the Cuis because I'm such a newbie. I settled on soft pretzels. I liked that I could test the steam function along with the baking function. I had to add another tablespoon or so of water to get the dough to feel right....but that could have been my fault. Sometimes I'm heavy handed when scooping out flour. Yes, my pretzel shaping leaves much to be desired. I did some with regular salt and some with black salt. Out of the oven I thought the tops were getting a bit too brown so I covered these during the last 4 minutes of baking. These are good. Very pretzel-y. The steam function is awesome with bread. I can't wait to make a loaf of French bread. Had to have one with spicy mustard. Very pleased with this new kitchen addition. Very very pleased
  18. I still think Kerry needs it.......and her husband could take care of the cow...I know he wouldn't mind. (I only knew the curling because I got obsessed with it during the last Olympics. Yes, I am a nerd.)
  19. I have the same iron That milk separator would even be cool as like a planter......I think Kerry needs to go back and get that sucker. Hmmmm.....the object in the picture.....some sort of snow remover? Is that a brush on the end? Is it used in the sport of curling on the ice?
  20. Wayne, that garlic looks so good. So do the tomatoes! I'm slowly harvesting the onions. No laughing, I know they're small--I never can grow big red onions....the white ones are bigger...., but they are good
  21. I didn't make this....wish I could make crust this good. My mother-in-law made this rhubarb strawberry pie for us. SO good. Perfect balance--not too sweet, not too tart.

Lovely pizza, John. Although Rotuts will have something to say about the green peppers . I personally love 'em on pizza. Last night was breakfast for dinner. Used my Cuisinart steam oven for the toast. I never thought I would be exclaiming about toast, but boy is it good. No picture. Night before last was spaghetti night. Bread toasted in a skillet because it was pre-Cuisinart lol. Lettuce and cukes from the garden.
  23. Gorgeous stuff, Elaina. Those beans look just like the pole beans I had growing...before bunnies and hail lol. I bet they will enjoy having something to climb on.
  24. Ya'll weren't lying about the toast.
  25. OMG THE LIGHT IT HAS A LIGHT
