@ElainaA and @Okanagancook I have been remiss in telling you both how MUCH I LOVE the recipe that you shared with me a couple of summers ago--the one that uses the whole cherry tomatoes and tons of garlic that you bake in the oven for a long time. I've been out of my homemade sauce for a couple of months now. I was digging through the freezer the other day and found a container of the cherry tomato sauce. I was SO excited. I've used it on pizza--which was delicious. Biting into a whole cherry and getting that burst of flavor on the pizza is amazing. Last night I was on my own for dinner. It's very hot here and my air conditioner is broken so I wanted something easy. I waiting until about 8:30 pm to start cooking so that the sun was off of the kitchen. Anyway, I heated up the sauce and made a squash from the garden. Heavenly. I hope I have a glut of cherry 'maters this year so I can make some more of this stuff!

Kay!!! NICE job!!! Beautiful jam and the asparagus....and the mushrooms. Everything looks like it's out of a food magazine. I don't have any experience with those Weck jars, but I, too, would love to hear from someone that does. And, amen sister. Green beans are cooked the same way in my house. Period.

Wow, that is really beautiful!

I don't think I've ever used another kind of potato besides a russet for potato salad. Somewhere in one of these IP threads I did the eggs and taters together and it worked like a charm. I'll have to go back and try to find my post. Last night I used my new thingy for the first time. I LOVE it. I pressure cooked some gizzards. Very easy to get in and out of the IP and nothing stuck to the pans. Also, yesterday Ronnie pressure cooked some country ham and then used the grinder on it. I made a huge and very good batch of ham salad. Then I added some pasta to some of the salad and made ham pasta salad to go with dinner Good stuff.

I can't even hit the like button over that.

Kerry, it's no wonder you're a little under the weather--you have been running non-stop! You take it easy and make alleguede carry all of your luggage.

I'll trade you some beets for some rhubarb Breakfast for dinner last night. I made too much food. I wanted both asparagus and yellow squash, so I made that along with hash browns and some sausages. It was fun making it--I did the eggs and hollandaise sauce SV. Super easy and I liked that you could hold them in the water bath until the rest of the meal was ready to plate. Ronnie got super creative so I had to show you his plating skills LOL My boring plating skills

Looking good! In years past we used to lay down newspaper under the straw and that worked pretty well.

Lightly breaded bass last night in an effort to make sure Ronnie catches some fish today at the lake (I figured if we eat fish the night before he will catch a ton because I don't like eating the same thing twice in a row lol)

SV'd pork chops, our first beets--just with a little salt and pepper--SO good (Ronnie thinks they taste like dirt but I love 'em), our first squash, homemade bread, taters and spaghetti salad. I was stuffed.

I got a new accessory for my IP today. It fits perfectly. I think I'm going to love it. It has 3 "trays". To slide them out you move one of the bracket thingys over Here is the link on Amazon.

Ok will do. I have a lot more that I planted directly by seed that should be ready in a month or so. I think I'm going to try to can some in my pressure canner.

I'm so excited to eat them! I'll probably do them in the IP ..... They are probably bigger because Ronnie started the plants in the greenhouse a couple months ago and then we transplanted them.

Thanks, Andie. I think I didn't dig a big enough hole. That and I bet we didn't have a hard enough freeze that year. Maybe I'll try again..... -
My first ever beets And some squash. Would have had a zucchini but Chum ate it --and ripped two plants up while she was at it. Sigh.

That is a thing of beauty. I'm immensely jealous. I tried to get rhubarb to grow here and I can't do it.
