Thanks, but yes, they are sold out.

Geez, I kind of forgot about it LOL! I did several early tastings--it was like fizzy grape juice. It's been in the garage fridge forever. I'll have to take a taste. I will report back. If I can type lol.

Your Daily Sweets: What Are You Making and Baking? (2017 – )

I jumped in with both feet day before yesterday. Ronnie had meetings all day and evening so it was a good time to make a bunch of different cookie doughs. Yesterday, I baked them all. The goal was to get them done and packaged before my wonderful UPS man showed up--which is usually between 3 and 5. Thank goodness he was closer to 5 last night. Ya'll, cookies take longer than you think.........🍪 or probably, I'm just really slow 😁 Anyway, two new cookies: Snickerdoodle Party Cookies They are good. You get a crunch from the cornflakes and then a bit of chew from the Skor candy bars. I had trouble getting the flakes to stick to the cookie balls, but other than that, a pretty easy recipe. Next I did @Kim Shook's Supersized Ginger Chewies These are really good. I LOVE the gooey Sugar Babies that melt out of some. Then I made the Sparkle Cookies from last year And the Raspberry Almond Thumbprints from last year At this point I looked at the clock and decided I'd better get to packaging. Plus I still had to make a birthday cake for my mother-in-law.... So, I have the dough made, but I didn't bake Smitten Kitten's oatmeal raisin cookies. That will be either this afternoon or tomorrow. I don't know how you bakers and candy makers do it all. So exhausting lol.

Got all of our venison ground up into burger --so that always calls for meatloaf night After a very long day of baking yesterday, Ronnie grilled venison tenderloins last night. I could barely lift my fork to eat lol.

OHHHHH how did you like this cheese? I bought some from Zingerman's. LOVED IT. In fact, I just ordered more just a bit ago.

Those are beautiful. Also, how dare you. You already have wrapped presents under the tree. I am woefully behind.

Not a scratch, it feels completely smooth. I haven't washed them yet.

Mine got here today! The box was held together by a wing and a prayer lol, but they made it. These are just out of the box:

Got to play with the Ninja a bit last night. Did the water test first. Passed with flying colors. I found it very easy to use. Decided to do a chicken for dinner. My chicken was a bit smaller than the 4 1/2 to 5 lb. chicken that was used in the recipe book that came with the Ninja. I should have taken that into account and reduced the cooking time by a few minutes. Recipe said to do high pressure for 15 mins, quick release, brush chicken with oil and season with salt and pepper. Then you close the crisping lid, select AIR CRISP, 400F for 15 mins. The internal temp of the chicken was 165F or over by the time the 15 mins of AIR CRISP was up. I think it definitely needed another 5 mins at least to get the skin like I like it but I didn't want the chicken to be dry. Anyway, next time I'll do less initial pressure cook time so I can have more AIR CRISP time. All in all, very easy and very moist chicken. Now. Where am I going to store this big 'ole Ninja..........

I'm not sure there is enough meat on there to be worth it......
-
Nope. I think Ronnie took the bacon off and grilled it for a bit and then put it back on. I like my steak so rare that the bacon never gets done enough for me.

We did these on the grill outside. Temp is about 450F for a couple of minutes on each side.

Wow. I was on my way to bed and stopped to check here . I now am having to stop the tears....Thank you. Thank you all for understanding. We truly eat what we shoot....truly....... Thank you so much. Heidi. And Suzi and everyone else that comments and follows. I've said it before, but I have to say it again. We eat all that we kill...and maybe kill isn't the right word now days...but it is what it is. We have the utmost respect for all wildlife and we don't allow anyone to hunt with us that doesn't feel the same way. Period. I and, we respect the cycle of life. I could go on and on. But I am tired........thanks to all of you for following ...and talking to me while hunting seasons are happening. You guys make me happy

Aw, thank you. But you as well as others are light years ahead of me! They feel.....tedious....or maybe monotonous is a better word. But in the end, when I have several varieties, I'm always happy I did it. I'm just a Grinch lol.

Well, today was a success. I didn't make it outside in time to get a picture of the whole doe (you guys have seen that whole process before anyway), but here she is right now. She was an old, dry doe, which as I said before is my preference. She is pretty big for a doe. I was going to do my first chicken in the Ninja, but now I have tenderloins.....decisions decisions......

I've found a couple of new cookie recipes in this months bon appetit. Sigh. I need to make cookies...I just wish I enjoyed it more. I enjoy them when they are done lol. I'll probably make raspberry filled thumbprints again, along with the chewy ginger cookies from @Kim Shook (Kim, have you ever frozen those?) that I haven't attempted yet. That would be a total of four different kinds.
-
Bumping this up. Some great recipes/ideas here.
-
@kayb Looks wonderful. You're making me feel very behind! Do you freeze all of this?
