I keep seeing these things called Burger Bombs on blogs etc. lately so I decided to finally look at the recipes and see what it is. Turns out it's like a bierock only the dough isn't sweet and it's like a bacon cheeseburger inside. I felt the need to make these although I did tinker with the recipe a bit. First I made a batch of @cyalexa's hamburger/hotdog dough (discovered my digital scale bit the dust and I have no back up--I like to weigh my bread ingredients and I couldn't) and got that rising. The recipes that I saw used refrigerated biscuit dough. That would be good, too, I just didn't have any. Then, I chopped up some onion and bacon and cooked that for a bit. Then added a pound of venison burger, Lawry's salt, pepper and garlic and let that cook up. Then a good dollop of cream cheese got plopped in and stirred until melted. Next a few squirts of mustard, ketchup, a bit of worcestershire sauce and a TB or so of BBQ sauce were stirred in. Last I added some chopped up pickles. Thought that would be good. Let that all cool off. Next roll out the dough into a rectangle and cut squares out. Place some meat and sharp cheddar slices on and wrap it it up. I brushed with egg white and sprinkled Everything Bagel seasoning on top. Baked in the CSO on the bread setting at 375F for 22-25 mins. We think more onions and an addition of mushrooms would be good. Also more cheese. But it was a fun new recipe to try

Damn it, I can't believe I let that secret out.

I can't seem to get enough salad lately. I'm ready for garden time I guess. Yours looks delicious! I'm almost out of lettuce sigh. I have a semi-yucky periodontist appt Tuesday. Hoping I feel well enough to go to the store after. Are the tomatoes that you can buy half-way decent? Or are they mealy and tasteless like we get around here? The campari ones are the only ones that have any taste at all around here--which is NOT much.

I used this recipe and scaled it down. Omitted the water. It was Good https://www.mydeliciousmeals.com/recipe/shrimp-salad-with-lettuce-and-tomatoes

@Dejah so glad you’re back! Missed You!! I am posting from my phone. My internet is out. I suspect a new transmitter needs to be installed on my dish. Happened the same way a couple of years ago. Such a pain. I love living here but I sure wish we could get cable internet. Last time it took a week to get someone out here. This time they say someone is coming tomorrow. On Saturday??? I’ll believe it when I see it. Anyway thank goodness for phones. had some shrimp left from Super Bowl so I made a shrimp salad to go with venison meatballs lemon roasted chicken Venison chalupas

That is an idea. I'll ruminate on that.

You hit the nail on the head . I used to keep basil and chives but now I don't have a spot that has sun that the cats can't get to. I can't even have bouquets of flowers where they can get at them--they eat everything lol. Your chicken looks delicious!

When I buy peeled garlic from the Asian market (cheap and whole lot of it) I freeze the whole cloves. I think freezing reduces the strength of it a bit.

I got my beans today! I am not complaining because they were all ok since they are in plastic bags, but I can't believe they made it. The box was a day late. It came wrapped in a saran-like plastic. The box itself was falling apart and soaking wet. The labels are falling off the bags it was so wet lol. I always wonder what happens in transit.

I was going to say similar--make a sauce out of the cilantro, lime and ginger, rub into the thighs and roast--kinda like Asian wings. Serve with my latest obsession-drunken noodles. De-bone and make a pho. De-bone and make an Asian type chicken "chili".

I'll be able to tell you Wednesday--finally got a shipping notice

Beef sliders for KS? Weird. Very weird lol. I started putzing around the kitchen at 1 when the SB pregame show started. Normally wouldn't watch that early unless it was my Broncos, but did it for Ronnie and the Chiefs. What a game! I bet Kansas City was full of celebrating people last night My step daughter lives close to there and was telling us that if they win, she gets the day off work and she and her boyfriend are going to the parade! I saw on twitter that they are closing all the schools. How cool! Anyway, on to the food: Cherry pie 'cause it's red lol and I've been wanting it. 7 layer dip and chips guacamole also to dip in (yay my avocados were perfect--thanks to the tip to put them in the fridge) The required deviled eggs Made some duck and goose wraps--bacon and jalapeño and did them on the Phillips grill inside. Also on there were roasted potatoes and jalapeño brats to dip in the cheese fondue that I forgot to take a picture of. Oh and bread and shrimp to dip also Ronnie wanted me to fry some mushrooms and onion rings, but I felt like this was enough food and I wanted to concentrate on the game lol.

I was also the watch the game girl.....it's hard, too, 'cause you can't leave during commercials to have girl time in the kitchen lol. That has all changed now that I'm older. The tv is IN the kitchen 😁

I'd love to try fresh wasabi someday. Needed hot wings because I'm not making any today for the game Then it was breakfast last night with crawfish boudin and a bit of hollandaise sauce.

Yes, but my formative years were spent in the mountains of Colorado---I'm not a true flatlander lol.

I had to go look and see for myself. You are right.

I've neglected my Ninja....poor thing has been sitting in a cabinet, looking dejectedly at me ever time I open the door. I've decided to be better. I used it on salmon last night I was super pleased with the results. I usually do salmon in a skillet--I like mine more rare than Ronnie does. But, I read that the Ninja does great with salmon. I marinated the salmon in a mix of soy sauce, oyster sauce and some hot chili sauce. Oh and a splash of veg. oil. I put the filets in the Ninja and set it at 390F for 6 minutes. A smidge too done for me, but after taking a bite, I didn't mind at all. Very moist.

I truly think they did.

Inspired by @liamsaunt I marinated some salmon in a mix of soy, oyster sauce and some spicy chili sauce my brother and sister in law made for us. I did the salmon in the air fryer. First time doing that and I liked it. Served along with some drunken noodles.

You better get on the stick

Ah ha! Thank you so much for the info. I was thinking about calling tomorrow but I'll hold off now . Sigh. You really miss out at times when you refuse to Facebook lol.

Has anyone received their bean club shipment? I got an email on the 22nd saying they charged me for it, but I haven't gotten an email saying it's shipped.
