Thanks Rob for all you have done. Best wishes for a success at the Kumquat. Hope you keep posting about what I have been referring to as the "Kumquat Cafe Chronicles"!

Could her meals be supplemented with pureèd meats, even the jarred ones for babies. At least that way she would be getting some protein. Custards would also have quite a bit of protein.
-
Pico de gallo or salsa, which I will be canning as I just got 12# of nice ripe tomatoes from a local farmer.
-
I have made Indian Barfi a few times from the recipe in 1001 Cookies (Gregg R. Gillespie). I don't know how authentic it is, though, but we enjoyed it. I have sent you the recipe via pm.

So happy everything is going so well for you, Rob.

Shrimp marinated in Thai red curry paste, garlic, ginger over lemon rice!

If only she would keep her arm movements to a minimum!

I am going to do some apricot jam/preserves tonight. I was going to do it this afternoon but decided to do it later when it is a little cooler. Has anyone tried an apricot/raspberry combo? I have quite a few raspberries and was thinking of using them in jam.

Randi, it is so good to hear that things are going well for you. I know you have been uptight about this. Can't wait for pictures.

Randi, it sounds like you are going to be extremely busy with all that on your plate. Can you get any of the items at Costco? Where are you going to do the prepping and cooking? Are you going to serve it plated, buffet or family style? Tell us all about your plans, please! I love this thread.

I love lobster rolls but make them with lobster, mayo, salt and pepper only! I don't want anything to detract from the taste of the lobster.

Kim, this is the BEST blog ever! Otis is a real cutie. Oh, and a big congrats on the huge weight loss. -
My mother got an 1943 edition as a wedding shower gift and lost it due to a house fire in the early 70's, so I kept looking for a replacement for her. After finding one for her, I started collecting them....... I have a dozen Boston Cooking School Cook Books 1906 through 1946. I also have The Boston Cook Book 1904 edition by Mary J. Lincoln. The only recipe I use on a regualr basis is for the peanut butter and marshmallow fudge (page 711 in the 1943 edition). My mother always made that fudge and it is the best, as far as I am concerned!

Amy, thank you for a most interesting and informative week. I am so amazed at the size of your kitchen and the wonderful food you produced from it. I will never again complain that my kitchen is too small!

The chocolate panini sounds like a winner to me.
