But Thank God, your sense of humor is alive and healthy! Hope the rest of you catches up with it quickly. I suspect Kerry Beal will be putting on her best scrubs and bringing you a supply of her baked goods any minute now. One taste and they will beg her to take over the dietary dept.

I'm about halfway through Ten Restaurants That Changed America by Paul Freedman. I'm enjoying it a lot considering I have only been to one of the places. The restaurants included are: Le Pavillon Antoine"s Howard Johnson's Schrafft's Mamma Leone's Chez Panise Sylvia's The Mandarin Delmonico's The Four Seasons As you might have guessed, Howard Johnson's is the only one I have been to. And yes, the all you can eat fried clams changed my life.

What a truly lovely trip that was....thank you for including us.

Oh My, the things parents tell kids to get them to eat. Mine told me that eating eggs would make hair grow on my chest. Thank God I realized , that as a girl, I didn't really want a hairy chest. In spite of all of that, I love eggs and my chest is hairless.

Always wash them. I've seen people who run their hands under the faucet for about two seconds and call it washing. I always figure at least one of those triple washing is going to be like that. If I have bits of snakes and snails and puppy dog tails in my greens, they are going to be clean!

dcarch, I suspect you are related to Giuseppe Arcimboldo. I have always wanted some of his prints to hang in my kitchen and now egulleters have their own version

The currant issue of Real Simple magazine mentions Bulrush in a run down of places for foodies in St. Louis They recommend it for cocktails made with Missouri botanicals. Wish they had written up the food offerings too.! If you have a copy, it is on page 64. -
A Ninja air fryer which damn well had better justify the counter space it will take up! I have named it Jumbo.

Three words that should never, ever be combined are Gas Station Sushi.

I had the same problem with the same seasoning. Ended up taping about half the holes to limit the stuff. I think I have an old Penzys top that I may be able to swap out.

Toni Col is a Mexican vanilla flavored soda that is so sweet my teeth ache just typing the name of it. It is one of those things that I keep getting sucked into in the hopes I will like it "this time'. Usually I love all things vanilla, but love eludes me with this. I don't care for sodas in general. To me, bubbles belong in champagne, and nothing else.

And always have frozen peas to use as a cold pack on strains and strains Only first aid item that you can eat later on.

Under the bed so they can keep an eye on the monsters that live there.

Does the other side of the pillows show the eyes shut? That could be a bit disconcerting at times....😉

Looks wonderful. I feel the same way about meatloaf.

Our nearest store has only been open a short while. Once they are up to speed, I suspect they will offer pick-ups as well. One way or another, they will end up with some really nice tiles.

Does my heart good to see you also have Restores. Those, plus the houses they build are wonderful examples of what we can do for others. At the moment we have 95 boxes of ceramic floor tiles ready to donate to our local Restore. We just need to find the energy to haul them in. Okay, back on track but I needed to make that shout out for a wonderful group of people.

Correlation between Miracle Whip users and Ketchup users?

Oh Shelby, he was in Ottumwa, 23 miles north of us last weekend. He won, Of course he did, a contest eating loose meat burgers. Shoved in 38 in ten minutes. Our county treasurer took third place with 12. As the world's slowest eater, I'd still be picking at my first burger. -

Oh yeah, my hot dog is well dressed. Mayo ketchup and yellow mustard.....and sweet pickle relish to mush it all together. Probably leave the dog itself out and I wouldn't notice until I'd had several bites. Joey "Jaws" Chestnut hates me. 'cause he has to eat 'em plain. -
Correlation between Miracle Whip users and Ketchup users?

The day I retired I vowed there would be no more margarine in my life. I grew up on "oleo" as my folks called it. One of my Nanas took pity on me when I stayed there. She would take marble sized balls of wonderful butter, roll them in brown sugar and give them to me. Better than any candy I've ever had And, yes, I was the only grandchild she had and I could get away with near murder.- 82 replies

I'm in Camp Rotuts all the way. M.W. is barred at the door. And I love a mix of Ketchup and Mayo on fires -
What a wonderful example of the meaning of the word "family". A group like that is beyond my experience and I can only imagine it.

You notice I didn't mention my kids! Some days they are okra and other days they are avocados.
-
Boy that makes me some kind of a real pioneer. (I hate okra but LOVE avocados and we don't grow them either. I moved here because I love my husband even more than avocados and he was packed and ready to go.
