So I was unable to make it home for dinner tonight. Fortunately the Legion was having a steak dinner and I ran over there and grabbed a quick bite. Sat with some classic car people who are in town for haweater weekend. And it's still not looking promising to get home as a chest pain just walked through the door

The sour cream is open - used it the other day.

In exchange for butter tarts - an orthopod from Toronto, who comes here on and off in the summer, will come in tomorrow on a day off and inject my lateral epicondylitis. Amazing what you can get done with a few well placed sweets!

A difficult predicament to be in! I have discovered that because this first batch will be shipping directly from China that they can send it directly to me in Canada so I don't have to get involved in smuggling it across the border.

I would suggest that if you are using induction for sugar, that you use induction ready pots rather than putting the disc in between. Induction is great for confections, but the discs aren't - it really removes the advantage of induction over other types of cook tops.

Funny thing - Anna and I sometime go looking for something from an old Manitoulin thread and invariably go down the rabbit hole and totally rediscover all the things we did and have forgotten.

Here is the rain pounding down just before I needed to get out of the vehicle at Max Burt's farm. By the time I finished gabbing with Max the rain had stopped and it was sunny when I reached Lisabeth's place. She posed with her EZtemper for an Instagram photo op. She had cleaned it - I rarely see them clean! There is a new spot in Gore Bay - called the Fromagerie. We had crepes - a Maple cheddar bacon sweet one for me and a Philly cheesesteak for Lisabeth. On the way back to the house we saw this fellow lounging on someone's lawn.

The small tortillas were an impulse buy as I ran through the grocery store just before it closed, grabbed the bread, the tomato paste in a tube and horseradish - I thought they were quite adorable and I couldn't leave them behind. So no plans for them so far - shall see what Anna finds to do with them.
