After I dropped the rug rat off at camp today - I noticed the grandfather of one of the other campers over by the bushes gatherings elderberries. He cuts off the umbels and freezes them - says the berries fall right off.

Hubby and I went out for dinner tonight. Restaurant called Wundeba. Pork schnitzel for me, chicken schnitzel for the hubby. Marinated pepper on the side for me.

This one stated 300º F on it - so I suspect it would cook.

I'm seeing a lot of what looks like old school steak house places. Perhaps I should be thinking steak!

I have a couple of those. But don't think they will go that hot.

Good to know about the breakfast place - one of the things I always forget to ask about and always enjoy!

Saw this Koolatron item in the Value Village today - about the size of a lunch box - it apparently heats around 300F. Made to heat a meal in the car I expect.

Heading out in a few weeks for the Dallas Chocolate Festival. I suspect we will have a couple of nights to find dinners and wonder if there are some places I should consider and be looking to get reservations ahead of time? We will be staying downtown and likely won't bother with a car.

It would apparently be 'unethical' to eat it!

Indeed it is good to be home - a lovely sunny day to drive - now the rain is pounding down and the wind is howling. There seems to be tornado warnings about.

Leaves of three, let it be. We pulled off to sort out the rug rat just outside of Parry Sound and this was what we saw on the side of the road. We avoided it completely .

Breakfast in Espanola . I asked for an Egg McMuffin I got an Egg McMuffin with ham!

Brief stop in Pointe au Baril to feed the rug rat and rest stops for the adults

I seem to recall a thread here on eG where there were some trials of making red relish a few years back.
