  3. Headed out tonight to Mesa - slight mistake led us to Mesomaya salsa and chips - added some guacamole but forgot picture - you can see it behind Kat's drink avocado marguerita Oaxaca

  5. Apparently for a small fee I can get 30 min of internet (I can get 1 gig for 7 days on my MIFI for a couple of dollars more) so I'll show you lunch. Looking forward to dinner at Pecan Lodge! Wine and nuts Kat decided on the chicken ( I took the last pasta) pasta for me
  6. Got mine - sadly going to the us rather than Canada so will have to arrange visit to @patris when I return from Dallas - I love my visits but the smuggling makes me a bit nervous at times
  7. Started a new topic to document our trip and show you where we eat! Love it if you would follow along here.
  8. Excuse the title - couldn't resist! Kat - who works with @Alleguede - is accompanying me to the Dallas Chocolate Festival, where we will have a table to show off the EZtemper. It could prove interesting as it doesn't seem a very organized show. I asked what my table number was (both to arrange electricity and do some targeted advertising) and was told that I should bring my own power cord and that I'd be along the back wall next to 'so and so - therefore easy to find! Not giving me that warm and fuzzy feeling that it's going to be a good use of my advertising dollars. Anyway - Kat and I are in the lounge at the Toronto airport awaiting boarding. They have food and booze here! Little early for the booze though. So I am enjoying a latte and some edamame, cous cous and a tomato, cucumber and spinach salad. All quite tolerable. Won't be using the WIFI on the plane since it's a short flight and not worth paying - so will check back in on arrival in Dallas.

  10. Picked up some lovely peaches at the farmers market yesterday. Brought in the fixings for a summer torte today. Forgot to take a picture before they cut it.
  11. I'm going to be escorting a group of Ecole Chocolat students to the Callebaut Academy in Belgium in October - wonder if I'll get to check it out?
  12. Made some baked potato middle's with cheese sour cream and green onions for the rug rat while I am away. That left me with all of these lovely baked potato skins

  18. @patris and I are enjoying a meal at The Dapper Goose in Black Rock, Buffalo cheeses - can't recall names - pickled black pepper blueberries, and cranberry relish to accompany Burrata

  20. I did switch my steam baking cauliflower over to the big oven yesterday after I set off the smoke alarm with my CSO .
  21. This morning after my 24 hour shift I headed to my egg lady's house for some eggs and stuff from the garden. I was greeted as always by the dog. In the basket are green beans we picked, a couple of yellow onions (really skinny), some beets, couple of bits of kale, some dill and a red cabbage. All that remains of the Silkie hen that was still around this morning when it was let out of the barn - possums apparently find them a nice snack. "C'mon - throw the ball" - they never tire of it. I do! Another garden helper - much easier on the plants than the dogs. Digging up some horseradish - leaves go over the side into to chicken coop.
