combination of the farmer's market and the grocery store today The tall ones are fresh garlic - very mild. The guy growing it suggested that I cook it in the microwave with some olive oil on it. Figured a new way to get onion slices sans finger slices.

Bib not optional lunch for me - a bastardized Hopin' John - it used up one of the leftover chicken thighs with shallots, some green onion, bit of red pepper, dressed with MW, sriracha and cucumbers.

A perfectly respectable breakfast!

Nothing wrong with sous vided - they were cooked very nicely - a little char on the Little Green Egg would have been an addition bonus I suppose.

My felafel maker has a little spade to push stuff off the platform when it's done.

Bermuda Rose by Gary Regan - don't know that it fit any sort of a theme just caught my eye and decided that's what we were having.

Took a walk down from the marina at lunch wild mint - now in our planter shit hawks escaping me don't know how well you can see it, but it is a duck playing lame duck in the water as it is babies escape in the other direction catnip

Yup - beta cocktails - one of the ones that uses a huge amount of angostura! I quite like the Luxardo - it's about equivilent with Apry I'd say. So much better than the Bol's apricot which isn't even worth considering. Perhaps not as good as the Rothmans & Winter but that's one I've had trouble getting my hands on here in Canada.

Liberated this from the area in the ER here in Manitoulin a few years ago were surplus stuff goes to wait out it's life (a shower stall that was never used). I use it to make lists, write down recipes ..,

Can I just say - that is a lot of booze in one cocktail!

I have enjoyed them greatly!

I have two dishwashers in my house (was like that when we bought it) - but only one get's used and the other one takes up space and occasionally get's turned on accidentally. Doesn't matter there isn't water plumbed into it anymore. I'd love to lose one and make a cupboard - but it's right next to where we put the rugrat's wheel chair when we feed her so might not be practical. Have a very small commercial dishwasher in my chocolate room - not yet wired (6 or 7 years - can't rush these things).

No cocktail tonight (yet anyway) - we had a visitor from Toronto drop by and he's not a drinking man. Fed him the Chicken with Caramelized Shallots and he scooted off to catch the bridge before it swung. He managed to get himself some nice fish to take back home with him
