  1. And finally our last meal in Germany...I dont know if you can make Jaegerschnitzle look amazing in a picture but I failed.....Damn was it good though. Pork cutlet perfectly golden with a mushroom sauce and spatzle....and a platter called I believe a "hunters snack" with Leberkass, boiled bacon, sausage, roast pork and a bread dumpling. uh oh guests are here more later Tracey

    I remember something called Chutter from Hickory Farms about 25 years ago....just barely spreadable buttery cheese Mmmm I still miss that stuff. tracey

  10. After aproaching John Talbott with more than a few questions in PM we got it together to meet up for dinner. We left it to him to chose the location with the requirement being, guess.....oysters Large quantities of seafood known and unknown to us,oysters, crab, langostines, and bulots(snails).   12. Lets see ...in the kitchen I have a line drawing of herbs with their culinary uses and in the dining porch there are the Bread poster and a Chile Pepper poster and 2 unframed oils of wine bottles. tracey

  14. Anne's last post reminds me of my grandmother always saying if you have milk bread and eggs you can make a meal...dont forget breakfast for dinner days. I mean we only eat a real breakfast one morning a week so sometimes I will make big platters of eggs with leftover meats or spicy sausage and toasted Italian bread for dinner, and one can never have too much french toast. tracey

  18. Amazing Hotdogs for Breakfast? absolutely. After 2 hours at the mall where I actually found something that fit it seemed only fair that I get a chile/coleslaw dog, french fries, and 2 sodas to celebrate. There were perfect as usual tracey
  19. Corelle does bounce...the first 20 or 30 times you drop them, then one day for no reason they shatter into billions of little shards. That being said if I was getting new daily dishes I would probabley get them. tracey
  20. I have a recipe that calls for syrup which I assumed meant golden syrup...and used part light corn syrup part molasses....maybe you could try part treacle and part golden syrup... what is the item you are making? tracey
  21. If any of the fridges have a rack shelf you can make the parfaits with a tilted layer by wedging the bottom of the glass against a strand of the rack and lean it againt the side of the fridge. From the J E L L O book tracey

  23. Or does one not slurp in Paris In Percyn's thread in General Foods he tucked a picture of large quantities of seafood in between a croissant and lunch at Le Cinq. Now unless something wonderfull happens in the next 2 weeks I wont be getting that lunch but we do intend on having an oyster etc feast.
