  1. BUBBLES!!!! I love pizzas with big crusty bubbles, one pie in my last batch had a big bubble but that was my husbands. I wish I knew what causes them...I think the dough was cooler when I rolled out his. yummy tracey

  6. In New Jersey I..... #1 have never seen fresh shrimp in NJ from anywhere #2 once saw frozen gulf shrimp but they were preseasoned or cooked #3 for 5 dollars a pound I might be able to get imported frozen pre cooked salad shrimp, maybe yesterday I drove to MA for a lobster sandwich tracey

  11. Grandmas soup dumplings - has to be the bottled cheese parm/romano blend .... 2 handfulls cheese, an egg, handfull of flour, and pepper makes a stiff dumpling dough ...littles pinches into boiling soup tracey

  13. I bailed, failed, just couldnt keep up. John's monster hotdog run continues as I type. As it says above somewhere we went to Galloping Hill Inn, Tommy's, Jerry's (ha ha Tom and Jerry) Syd's, Manny's, Tony's truck and Amazing Hot Dog where I threw in the napkin. And so we had - good dog, big roll at Galloping Hill - Italian dog at Tommy's great potatos - very sweet chile sauce at Jerry's - Syds lovely as usual - Manny's was ummmm Yech - Tony's with the HOT onion sauce - and Amazing Hot Dog where I got some take-out tracey going to have a salad now

  16. Ahhh they got ya. Some of Citterio's and others product is indeed IMPORTED from Canada! Just because it says imported its not from Italy. I really dont think any producer of Parma ham is going to sell it presliced in cryovac. tracey spent too many decades in the deli biz
  17. And would you believe I had Lobster Newburg yesterday?? Wait I ordered Lobster Newburg I got lobster and Surimi in pink GOO. And when Shepards herd Cows and Chickens you can make Shepard pie out of those animals. But Cottage pie seems to take care of that one. tracey

  24. My grandmothers dumplings are pretty unique, and pretty heavy too. She just mixes a few big handfulls and Romano cheese with 2 eggs and black pepper, then adds flour to make a very stiff dough. This goes into either boiling chicken or turkey soup in little pinches "the tip of a teaspoon" They cook in about 10 min. Kind of more like pasta or gnocchi than a traditional dumpling. tracey
  25. OK you asked for it. Yes, this is used in the kitchen only . Its electric, not made by Ronco, and purchased by Nana. No, it doesn't realy do what its supposed to. tracey
