Prompted by the long running & still going "How many cookbooks do we have" thread I thought I'd ask how many links do we have & which are our favorites.

I did do a seach & couldn't find anywhere where this had been asked before.

I'll start off. I have 93 links to CR&F sites and the number grows weekly. This is with no repeats. (by repeat I mean, for instance, that I have well over a year's worth of Delia Smith's bi-monthly news letter stored, but it still counts as one.)

My favorites are; Lucy's Kitchen Notebook, Fooding & Saveur (modesty forbids mentioning .....)

I have 313 altogether in the 'Food' folder of my bookmarks, but many are things I bookmarked once and never returned to. My favorites, or at least most-used, are the newspaper food sections.

I have mine grouped in tab folders (I use Firefox.) I had to split them up because I was strangling my browser trying to open them all at once... now I open ten at a time. There are (ahem) ten folders.

Many of mine are sites like eGullet, many are magazine food sites (Saveur being one of them!) and other "pro" sites, and a good number are food blogs. I plead research on the number, since I just started my own, and wanted some ideas on design, set up, etc.

Now if the photographic tricks would just rub off on me...

Over 250, mostly in my "Food" folder. Some, like eGullet, I visit often. Others I've noted for reference but rarely go back to.

One that I think is worth offering is Gernot Katzer's Spice Pages, which Paula Wolfert referred me to when I asked a question about an herb a couple of years ago.

ETA: After I posted this, I LOOKED at Suzi's list and found the very same link. Consider this an endorsement.

I was exchanging recipes with Betsy way back when we were still on Prodigy in the mid-90s. Her site has grown from just a couple of pages to a very comprehensive site with a huge database of recipes and information. Several of my recipes are still up on the site, posted in '97 or thereabouts.

Another site with a huge list of cooking/recipe sites is the Virtual Quincy Directory.

If I am trying to find an obscure recipe or cooking reference, I start there. A few of the links are no longer active, such as SOAR, now RecipeSource - also in SuzySushi's list.

I mean, where else have you seen a site for Maltese Traditional Recipes?

I have been going through my bookmarks and deleting the dead links.

I have come across some I have thought missing - with my old browser it was not as easy to name the links as it is with Safari(Mac).

This one some favorite Indonesian recipes was in the "C" folder under Catalot, instead of in the "I" folder for Indonesian...

I have only a few. eG of course. The Old Foodie, who I read daily. bookofrai also has things you will not find elsewhere easily. The Gilded Fork usually makes me sigh with pleasure. And now I count on Serious Eats to provide full and broad-range information and direction to all sorts of cooking, recipe, and food sites, while doing so in an amusing way. Gorgeous site. Eye candy as well as mind candy.
