fine work.

how do you plan to keep it ?

because of the oils , Id consider sealing and freezing , and use from frozen.

vacuum sealing would be nice.

Hadn't really thought of it.  I am splitting it with my SIL and niece so we won't each have a lot.  Maybe put it in spice jars with a silica gel pouch?  Mango and strawberry purees are in the dehydrator.

I like this unit because of its removeable cup and larger capacity than my old and trusty Krups.  If anyone here has had experience with this unit, good or bad, I'd like to hear about it.  I bought and got rid of another similar model by Secura because it wasn't very efficient.  Is there any other spice grinder you'd recommend? I read the previous threads about grinders but they're old and I'm looking for fresher information.

Andiesenji mentioned using the dry blade and container on her Vitamix, but there was nothing more than a brief mention.  Anyone using the Vitamix to grind spices, and how has it worked for you?

Yes, I have had one Cuisinart SG-10 Electric Spice-and-Nut Grinder for 15 years or so. The bucket goes in the dishwasher. Most stuff gets ground well; exceptions might be large pieces of dry ginger.

If memory serves, Alton no-unitaskers-in-my-kitchen Brown used one of those particular unitaskers on Good Eats.

Well, that's certainly a solid recommendation ...
