Where to find Italian & Spanish grocery items

Where in PDX can one purchase quality Italian and Spanish grocery items??? I am specifically searching for olives and canned in olive oil tuna.

Have you been to City Market on 21st and NW Johnson - or Pastaworks on Hawthorne? Small markets..... but good resources.

Both City Market and Pastaworks have their grocery items supplied by Pastaworks, I'm pretty sure. Pastaworks on Hawthorne usually has a slightly bigger selection, I think.

You'll also want to hit the gourmet grocers, the premiere one being, imo, New Seasons (a local chain). There's also a Whole Foods, Zupan's (another local chain), and Wild Oats (formerly a local chain).

If you are looking for Italian staples, fresh meats and cheeses, and a touch of old world, this is your place. If you become overwhelmed, they also serve lunch.
