Chef's table at Citronelle?

I need to organize a work dinner at a great restaurant in DC, is this restaurant still living up to its reputation? Has anyone had experience at the chef's table?

I'd be curious to hear the responses. What kind of work dinner are you talking about? It isn't really quiet in the kitchen. Plan on 10 courses with wines and P.S. bring alot of money.

I'm sending in The Doughnut Holes to come waving $20 bills and expecting change

I was wondering about those doughnut holes. Where do they go? Rocks, could you ask your friend Ann what they do with the holes ??? I have a big penny jar, I could pay exact change for them!

My meal there last year might have been one of my two favorites of 2003 along with a nearly perfect evening at Babbo. That means surpassing stops at French Laundry, Inn at Little Washington among others (yeah, I know, I spent way too much money on food last year).

The combination of the setting, the food coming out of the kitchen and the hospitality of our friend Mark made for a great evening.

That said, we weren't in the kitchen, but at a table on the front row looking into the kitchen.

We sat at the chefs table, nice experience, esp. if you're into food. Sure the kitchen's loud but we were still able to have some conversation among ourselves. A woman was the som that evening and I assume you weren't her, Mark.

Must have been a Monday night. That was my assistant.
