I have tasted one of them years ago (this has been going on for several years now), and moreale is winnig: the wines are really, really, crap.

The labels of Lunardelli's wines, of which nobody speaks of wine quality, mirror what's inside the bottle: bad taste.

This fellow has quite a gallery of labels, including a line of "biker" labels, Napoleon labels, Mussolini labels and even one with Winston Churchill. He also has a line of "artist" labels, including, appropriately, Munch's "The Scream".

These wines are only sold in tourist ships on the autostrada. They also have a very lovely and sensitive Mussolini label.

My brother was in Hong Kong some time ago and called me for advice on a new varietal line from the very popular Jackie Chan. I adviced him against buying the wine.

He now practices martial arts and nags about my decision on a regular basis.

This was apparently the root of the recent Hitler Wine stories, although apparently the Germans have been protesting to Italy in various ways since 1997.
