Try Shanghai Jazz in Madison. Also, A Taste of Asia in Chatham is good, but Malaysian, not Chinese.

As far as I can tell this is a thankless task. I know of no good Chinese Restuarants around Morristown. I've been to the places mentioned in Madison and Denville but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at either one of them, no offense to the poster's.

Hunan on Speedwell Ave near Hanover Ave. in Morris Plains is an o.k. place for Chinese.

Going South instead of North, Cathay 22 in Springfield may be within range if you are close to Hwy 24. Some of their dishes are first-rate, worth a 20-30 minute trip in my opinion.
