Janet, Amen! So glad to see someone have to guts to tell it like it is. biggrin.gif Why do some people insist on destroying perfectly delicious desserts like bread pudding and apple pie with those yucky raisin intruders? angry.gif No raisins for me in any way, shape, form or dish!

I think raisins are essential in rugelach.

No raisins in rugelach -- absolutely not! I make the most delicious rugelach and never use raisins.

I agree. I hate raisins and currants.

I hate raisins, especially when they are hiding in some delicious dish. Its like finding a cockroach in your salad or a rabbit turd in your arrancini.

I am in the bizarre raisin lover/hater camp. I think putting raisins in cereal is horrible. The textures don't go at all, and the milk doesn't plump up the overdried raisins. But right now I am eating Raisinets, and I enjoy raisins in savory dishes and in cakes.

No, I don't get it, either.

Thats funny, Im not a fan of raisins in food, but my favorite cereal is Kellog's 2 scoops raisin bran. Its in fact the only raisin and bran flake cereal brand i like. Also, the raisins in Kellog's are always soft and chewy. Maybe the raisins you had were out of date.
