I came across this ad for salted egg yolk ice cream, last night. Haven't tried yet, but would give it a go.

Any takers?

Sounds weird, but then I thought the same thing about popcorn ice cream until I made it.

Is it made from salted duck egg yolks (the ones used in traditional moon cakes), or is it a standard ice-cream (made from crème anglaise) with added salt?

I would try this, especially if it's the first case.

Yes, the salted duck eggs (as in mooncakes).

I would try, if only for the novelty. Does the cone have a story too? It looks very dark.....
