Which Thai restaurant is this?

Recommended Posts

It is supposedly in the Eastside near Lake Sammamish.

"The very best, greatest Thai food we've found is at a restaurant where the cook actually graduated from a cooking school in Thailand. She is absolutely amazing, and before starting on her own she was instrumental in helping other successful restaurants get a reputation. Other cooks we've talked to hold her in very high regard. Now, at her restaurant (open for a few years already), she has her daughter as the head waitress and she looks very "unique" to put it nicely. I don't know how many of you readers have been to Bangkok, but her style of dress is identical to what you might find in Patpong. She props up her breasts and they are nearly falling out of the low cut tops, from what I can see the bras are see-through, her pants are lower than anything Britney Spears wears, full shoulder view, complete with large insect tatoo emerging from the tiny bra. String bikini underwear in view on one day we were there."

Care to mention your source for this qoute?!?!?!

Two Thai women that I went to grad school with said that the best place in the greater Seattle area was Noodle Boat in Issaquah (close to Lake Samamish), wonder if that is where this blurb is referring to....

Most women don't seem to know how much flour to use so it gets so thick you have to chop it off the plate with a knife and it tastes like wallpaper paste....Just why cream sauce is bitched up so often is an all-time mytery to me, because it's so easy to make and can be used as the basis for such a variety of really delicious food.

That's almost certainly what it's referring to. I tried to go there yesterday coming back over I-90 but didn't have the address and ended up at Las Margaritas (front near sunset downtown), which is one of the best mexican restaurants I've been in Seattle. Which isn't saying much.

The provenance of that message is here.

I agree that Las Margaritas is well above average for Seattle-area Mexican, but if you ever want to do some seriously good Mexican food, we should do some sampling in South Park and Tukwila.

This sounds like the vietnamese restaurant near the intersection of Belle-Red Road and 20th in Redmond. I think the restaurant is on Belle-Red. I forget the name. I've never been there but a woman who joined my group said all the guys in her previous group loved going there for, umm, the food.

Can someone explain this thread to me. I didn't get it when it was on Chowhound and I don't get it here either. Is eat, eat, eat a regular contributor or are they the same person who was removed from Chowhound? Why are people obsessed with this description of a little T and A? Please enlighten me.

Have you seen the Seinfeld episode where Elaine says something like, "Guys will sit through the crappiest movie in the world if there's a chance that a woman might take her top off"?

OK i've never seen my Avatar maximized. I sort of saw her as a healthy, wholesome cheerleader like you would see at a college football game. Obviously I will need to change my opinion on that. I suppose you can tell that most of this is tongue in cheek. However I will be changing my avatar to something more Al Goreish. Maybe him kissing that bastion of wholesomness Tipper.

You people are freaks. I want a hip-swingin' dude cheerleader for my avatar.

I'm taking my husband to that Thai restaurant for his birthday.

Men don't really have hips to swing. Not like that anyway.

What is the restaurant called? That has been the mystery all along.

I'm guessing it is Noodle Boat, just based on the location and other things I've heard. I'm wondering, though, if the restaurant could be the one (and only) Thai place IN Sammamish (the newly incorporated city). I'm going to have to consult with my MS buds to see if they know about this place.

Hey Nightscotsman, I've been around, just lurking is all :)
