Hello fellow food lovers. My name is Ruby. I am the chef and owner of Josephine's Cerritos, just South of Los Angeles. I am thrilled to be a part of this humble haven for culinary discussion and look forward to reading about all of your delicious foodie feats. I promise to do my best to contribute to this wonderful world of cooks, gourmants and epicureans.

Surely, our common denominator here will always be food, our love for it and the subcultures shaped from it, but what I want to learn from you all (and what will be the topic of most of my posts) is why we eat what we eat. What and who influenced you to cook, eat and gather? What inspired you to go Michelin vs Mickey D's? I'm curious. I'm hungry. I'm interested in what goes in your gullet.

Best,

Ruby

I must say, sounds like you've got some great ideas for great discussions.

I'm eager to hear the answers to those questions as well.

Welcome.

I don't understand why rappers have to hunch over while they stomp around the stage hollering.  It hurts my back to watch them. On the other hand, I've been thinking that perhaps I should start a rap group here at the Old Folks' Home.  Most of us already walk like that.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I can't wait to partake in these forum discussions. Porthos, LA is such a fabulous place I love to call home. Please feel free to send my invitation to your family to my restaurant, and I will be sure to say hi! What are their names?

Thanks again guys.
