These little babies are made from marzipan.

You've got to admire the workmanship - it it absolutely perfect I'll admit. And if someone made them from clay I'm sure I'd think nothing of it.

But I kind of think there is something creepy about making them from food!

That's an old urban myth, check out the entry at SNOPES. They are polymer clay and mohair sculptures by a professional artist. I'm surprised you hadn't seen this before, this was one of those viral emails everyone was passing along in 2004.

Kerry, I think the cakewrecks site pretty makes a solid good argument for a 'No' (although I helped trick out enough of BioMed club cakes with various muscles – 'feline tibialis anterior insertion, anyone?' – to have qualify that with '...unless you're serving a bunch of people who are as eccentric as yourself').
