A recap with some new movies added: Please don't assign numbers to your new movie foods...if a movie is solved before it gets put into a recap, it's not given a number since it's out of play. Also, we're getting some repeat movies. Try not to use "Pretty Woman", "The Godfather", "Cool Hand Luke", "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", "Fargo", "Moonstruck", "Repo Man", "Mrs. Doubtfire", "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Dirty Dancing" as they've all been used twice. ************ WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION: -petite tête de chou has guessed that #174 (Raw corn, bananas, scenery CLUE: The actor won't eat the banana, but does chew the scenery) could be "WarGames". #154 is not "The Notebook" #174 is not "1492 - Conquest of Paradise" ************ STILL UNSOLVED AND TAUNTING US: 154. REVISED CLUE: A floor picnic of roast chicken, rudely interrupted by monetary concerns and time constraints. CLUE: Every meal in the movie was disrupted by SOMETHING, but no other by money. CLUE: The hero speaks to an older woman, and her comeback was quite memorable. 158. "I love their eggrolls" " Eat your eggs" and four perfect T-bone steaks 173. Jack Nicholson film: features a lot of barbequeing (as I recall) 174. Raw corn, bananas, scenery CLUE: The actor won't eat the banana, but does chew the scenery. 177. I hid behind the car. I didn't want to get any ketchup on my dress. 180. Ramen noodles cooked in a tiny cramped space, slurped by our heroes that have come in for shelter. Various snacks pilfered from the shelves while the pounding rain pours on the metal roof. 181. Roast turkey with its breast bone savagely ripped out, lobster abruptly stabbed and then halved, roast suckling pig ravaged... **** NOTE: If you post a movie, please check back to see if the guesses on your movie are correct or not so we can keep the "Still in Play" list accurate. Also, consider posting more clues if your movie remains unsolved. ****

Are they too high to bend? A "Taste of Home" tip...If you buy packaged sliced bacon, you can roll the package into a circle to help "unstick" the slices from each other. So I am wondering if that would work with a large stack of cold cuts.

Currently nibbling on some shelled walnuts. They seem to satisfy without being filling.

I can't recommend specific names but would suggest you consider how you'd like to use the tomatoes you harvest since you're not canning them. Will you need a large beefsteak-type tomato which would be good for sandwiches (BLT's, etc) and burgers? What about a cherry or grape tomato for salads? I can't recommend Currant tomatoes since I don't think they offer enough "bang for the buck", so to speak. How about a plum tomato for cooking (and for drying/freezing...which I don't really consider canning)? And then go redundant with the leftover two plants...or experiment with something you've never tasted...a Cherokee Purple, etc. I hope you get good growing weather this year as I seem to recall a summer of too-cold weather in your area.

Thanks, Nicola. I'll post a recap shortly reflecting Godito's correct solution. As for #168, that movie clue was posted by foodman so we'll let him call the winner, if it's correct. edited to say: Whoops! That one was solved correctly. It was "Primary Colors".

The obnoxious behavior was our own. Met some friends with their kids for breakfast at a diner. We finished the meal and were waiting for the check, getting impatient, waiting for the check, getting madder by the minute. The struggle to keep the kids from wandering around the restaurant from boredom was becoming fierce. We finally got the attention of our waitress and asked her for the check. She leaned forward and, like a magician, plucked the check up from the middle of the table where it'd been sitting for the last hour or so. Granted, it was propped up between the condiments and the jelly holder, but we still felt foolish to say the least. No one in our party saw her place it there. We left a big tip for taking up her table for such a long time waiting for a check that was already there.

All tomatoes should be self-pollinating. They're asexual, I believe. If they are large enough to be tied to a stake or cage, a firm couple of whacks of the stake or cage should be enough to jiggle the flowers to get them to self-pollinate. If they're small enough to be portable (and not be staked or caged yet) a firm but gentle tapping on the pot should be enough of a shake to get them to pollinate themselves. How great is it that you've got blooms already! Perhaps you'll have tomatoes by July 4th...or sooner. And I hope the critters don't find your strawberries...

A few months ago, Carl's Jr. featured a keilbasa breakfast sandwich that was surprisingly quite good. It was almost like homemade. It was about a fourth of a sausage, split in half and then grilled/fried. I was sorry to see it dropped off the menu. They also seem to be the only ones still offering a "breakfast bowl" (deconstructed breakfast sandwich...without the bread) for the pro-Atkins crowd.

My mom uses her counter-top vegetable steamer. To paraphrase Ron Popiel, she "sets it and walks away". Like Marlene, she has the timing down to a science and when the bell dings, she knows they're perfectly steamed. Of course, Alton Brown wouldn't approve since it's yet another appliance to clutter the countertop when your current method works so well. But it works for her.

I dread eating out with one of my brother's sister-in-laws. She used to be a waitress and when we dine out, she makes the waitstaff practically jump through hoops. The silverware can't have waterspots, her water glass needs to be refilled NOW, etc. She has issues, I tell ya. And since the service is always substandard in her opinion, she tips poorly. I always leave extra tip money on the table after she gets up and leaves.

Hillshire Farms makes these sausages with cheddar cheese inside which would be great in a breakfast sandwich. (Der) Weinerschnitzel should make a similar Sourdough Sausage sandwich, a sort of breakfast take-off of their regular menu item, the Polish Sausage sandwich, which is served on rye bread. And why aren't I getting the big bucks for improving their menu? I used to enjoy the Jack-in-the-Box Breakfast Croissant sandwiches (which they still offer) up until they stopped serving them with mayo. Guess they had too many problems with keeping the mayo untainted.

Since I don't know the name of the film you are referring to, I will leave it up to cinghiale, who posted the clue originally, to decide whether you've successfully solved it or not.

I was surprised to see a local Der Weinerschnitzel pasting up a sign promoting their new breakfast menu. Apparently, they've been offering breakfast in other regions of the U.S. and our area is just now catching up. Lucky us. Of course, when I think "breakfast", I don't immediately think "Der Weinerschnitzel" (it's not even in my Top 50). Looking at their online menu (click the link above), I'm surprised they don't offer a "breakfast sausage"-themed menu item which would make them stand out in the crowded Fast Food Breakfast market. It seems like it would be a natural pairing. Afterall, how many different ways can you combine eggs, bacon and bread? Has anyone tried Der Weinerschnitzel's breakfast? Are you a fan of Fast Food Breakfast? What is your guilty drive-thru breakfast pleasure? I have to admit, many years ago while working during my college years, Arby's Breakfast Croissants and potato cakes (think giant Tater Tot) would start my day off right. How about you?

Another suggestion... While watching "Daisy Cooks!" on PBS this weekend, she made a pot of black beans and then made Black Bean Soup from about half of the beans. She recommended adding a splash of pineapple vinegar to your serving of the Black Bean Soup. Which sounds like a no-brainer and makes perfect sense. I always add a splash of cider vinegar when eating Navy Bean soup. So the pineapple vinegar with the Black Bean Soup sounds like a natural pairing.
