A friend of mine told me once that late one Thanksgiving eve he went to make himself a turkey sandwich only to find that the turkey had been completely stripped bare by the hordes he had hosted for the holiday feast. He ended up make a stuffing sandwich. How's that for redundancy?

Not my game so I can't make up the rules. I'm just the recap guy. If you want to post a movie that's already been solved before, be my guest.

It reminds me a lot of Alton Brown's flaming Kitchenaid. Here's another flaming KA: Flame On!

Not necessarily true junk food, but when I was a kid, my mom made sure every Saturday night was "fun" food night. The rotating menu was homemade pizza, tacos, hamburgers, Sloppy Joes, etc, usually accompanied with homemade milkshakes. We usually used paper plates that night, as well. No serious food need apply on Saturday nights. It worked out great as we got older because the food was usually grabbed "to go" as we went out the door to hang out with friends, go to movies, and so on. I still carry on the tradition to this day.

Cooking my meat to well...I cannot seem to stop!
Toliver replied to a topic in Food Traditions & Culture
Friends don't let friends cook steaks well done. You need an intervention. Or at least have someone else there with you who will stop you from overcooking the meat. -
Coming out of left field, I am guessing that is the film "The Goodbye Girl". I know they have a spaghetti dinner in ths film. Like I said, a wild guess.

Since there hasn't been much activity today (except for racheld's excellent solution to #139), I will post a recap tomorrow morning.

I'm guessing this is "The Godfather". ← And Luca Brazzi sleeps with the fishes. You're a HAAARRRRD Master, Cap'n Toliver!!! THE CAINE MUTINY, for Heaven's sake!!! I Quantum Leap in places I should take baby steps. ← Think of it, in the spirit of the game, as educating those who haven't yet seen the film. Did you take the strawberries? Yes, "The Caine Mutiny" is correct.

Here's the article: "Some McDonald’s now carry Pepsi drinks" Does the McDonald's near you sell more than sodas? I'm happy to hear there will be more drink options. I'm not a big fan of Diet Coke and the tea hasn't been as good since they stopped brewing it. What's interesting is that the new products are not being dispensed at the soda fountain. Restaurants make a huge profit on soda fountain drinks since the syrup is comparatively cheap. With these Pepsi products, however, there has to be lower profit since they aren't dispensed but are sold per container. This also raises the issue of storage space. Think of how many sodas can be dispensed from the syrup tanks. Then translate that number into actual physical drink containers and having to find room to store them. Granted, the quantity of non-carbonated beverages sold will be quite a bit less than the number of sodas they sell, but it's still going to be an issue.

Dude! Use the microwave...less chance of scorching. You can find andiesenji's mustard recipe both in the eGCI Condiments class and in this discussion.

I'm guessing this is "The Godfather".

Yes, you got it. Coke with a little bit of Scotch and Jelly Babies. One of my favorite movies. Wendy Jo Sperber is hilarious in it trying desperately to phone in the answers to Murray the K's "Beatles' Trivia" so she can win tickets to the debut of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. edited for spellling

Hmmm, and yet you didn't name the film.

Thank you, Nicola. I wait until the original poster of a movie clue confirms a correct or incorrect guess in this discussion before congratulating them in the recap.
