  2. That link didn't work for me./Link did work Why would you be considering cookware, if you're planning to put the cooktop away in a cabinet? What's more important than the cookware is the induction burner. Wattage, the number of power levels and whether the power is actually regulated as opposed to simply on/off for various lengths of time are important factors. I covered up my gas cooktop and instead use two portable induction cooktops. One is 220 volt 3000 watts and the other is 115 volts and 1800 watts. I have used all manner of cookware and found no discernible difference. p

    What is it?

Guessing here, but it could be a catalytic converter, used to fully aid the combustion of the results of the self cleaning function. Just guessing though p
  5. I would guess their choices and reviews are geared towards the mainstream of home cooks which is whom they respond to in terms of their preferences. You and I obviously have different standards and expectations. p

  7. I had a Tassimo machine (like a Keurig, but cheaper) once and their milk pods were undrinkable. Very happy for you and hoping you have many happy years with your new machine. p
  8. Thanks Kerry, one of the main drawbacks of deep-frying is the cost of the oil. p
  9. Since I don't tend to use the "rocking/chopping" method most times a filet knife often comes to hand. p
  10. Is this oil specifically related to freeze drying equipment or could it be used for deep frying oil? p

  13. Great to hear that there are still companies out there that care about a product after they sell it. p
  14. Aside from your personal preferences regarding a ductless installation, I would highly recommend a a ducted version only to accommodate future changes. p
  15. My electricity costs are almost $200/month. I'm on a pension and I do what I can to be proactive in cutting back on expenses. I use my CSO or BSO rather than the full size oven for that reason as well. btw regarding takeout pizza, nothing gets delivered out where I live except the mail and UPS lol p
  16. I guess electrical costs are cheap in your neighbourhood. p
  17. Just a side thought, are people assuming that 350 is reached when then the oven dings or otherwise tells you have reached that temperature? A good oven thermometer (not expensive) will give you a more accurate temperature reading. p

    Milk Frothers

What about heating the milk? p
  19. I use this recipe ( HOME BAKED SANDWICH BREAD ) from their site which is for the 9 inch pan. http://www.usapans.com/cgi-bin/recipes.cgi?Pullman+Loaf+Pan I use a breadmaker on dough setting to do the mixing and kneading. p
  20. There are two sizes available the 9 inch and the 13 inch. The 9 inch fits the BSO and CSO perfectly. The pans are designed to produce perfectly square loaves of bread. The flat top is achieved by letting the final rise reach about 1/2 inch of the top of the pan, sliding the lid on and placing in the preheated oven. Oven spring takes care of creating the flat top and ensuring the final square appearance. Pullman loaves generally have a very fine crumb. Will it work for cakes? I have no idea. I don't bake. p
  21. Agreed, copper looks great, but what experienced cooks have touted the advantages of copper or other materials specifically? Don't work with induction do they? p
  22. Amazon Canada has them as I mentioned above: USA Pans 9 x 4 x 4-inch Pullman Pan, Aluminized Steel with Americoat p
