  1. Me, too!
  2. Welcome, Paul
  3. Yum, and thanks for sharing.
  4. Yes, congratulations.
  5. A first-class Cuban rum presents the nose and the palate with a greater range of nuanced aromas than any other spirit. Rums are not all alike... http://www.cubaheritage.com/subs.asp?sID=212&cID=13
  6. Ed features a nice set of 4 glasses, with straight sides, at his site, in case you didn't notice: http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?rhums...rumglasses.html
  7. Sent an e-mail to them, to see if they would ship to the united States, here is the reply: Dear Bolivar Petit Corona , there is no problem to ship this items to the US ! Just let me know how much you need and I will let you know the shipping costs. Kindest Regards Ralph
  8. Kinda like the one at the top: http://www.markenglas.info/enter.html?targ...AVANA_CLUB.html
  9. I now use a set of 4 Havana Club glasses brought back from Italy, by a friend.
  10. Jason, I would suppose you to be right, as the soil of Cuba yields tobacco to produce cigars with a unique flavour, and sometimes unique coloured wrappers, as well.
  11. Marek, although I'm not a Canadian, I say welcome, fellow rummy!
  12. Welcome, mikef!!! Since it's NOT dark, how would you describe the colour? Does it have a sweet flavour???
  13. Markus, welcome!!!
  14. Avant, welcome!!! Always like to hear about another rum. Do you have a website, with more information???

  16. From: http://randalls.site.yahoo.net/randalls/mh461484.html Deep amber. Medium-bodied. Hint of sweetness. Reminiscent of dates and buttery, smoky flan. Fat, rich texture. Broad flavors soar on the mouth. Heavy wood with great balance.
  17. Damn good rum for $12 a bottle! Anyone else like it? (I know it's been discussed, somewhat, in other thread...just trying to jump start the joint.) It's DEAD in here! http://www.brugal.com.do/
  18. Thank you for the HC Oro sample (he sampled me a full bottle). I tried it on the rocks, and with Sprite, and it's all gone. To me, the HC Oro is good, with sugar cane alcohol aromas, and a nice caramel aftertaste, but not as much character and flavour as the other HC's. So, remembering that we all have differing palates, I'll stick with the other 3 HC's. Thanks again, ak2000!
  19. Well, didn't taste that way to me, see other thread. Could that flavour be the "honey" as described by Havana Club: When sugar cane is ground it produces a thick, creamy, almost liquid substance, very rich in sugar, and of a beautiful amber colour. This is the molasses, traditionally called "honey". This "honey" is the main raw material, and its unique quality has given Cuban rum the prestige it has always enjoyed.
  20. Well, Dan, we all have different palates...a friend of mine told me Liberación Añejo 7 años tasted like paint thinner. Haven't tried the Carribean Club or Hemingway yet.
  21. You're welcome.
  22. Dave, it's worth trying, but I prefer the Havana Club brand.
  23. Top for Dave Wiley, I'll delete this if anyone else posts here.
