  1. Who said anything about pre-made? You can add cream to your own aerosol can. Tastes just like Reddi-Wip.
  2. Am I the only person who doesn't get caught at the register? I'll buy a Snickers every blue moon, but that's only when I'm getting a hunger headache, and there's no other food around that I can eat in under two minutes. But that's the only thing. And it's not an impulse.
  3. I've bought and brought pizza to a friend in LA. Wrapped each piece individually, frozen it, packed it with cold packs. It was SO appreciated, I can't tell you.
  4. You're lucky you weren't out cold.
  5. Tip for peeling ginger: use a spoon.
  6. I must step in and say please, please, please do not ever put bread in the microwave. You call yourselves food people? Do the right thing.
  7. Why, oh why would you spoil this with eggs?

Your crust might benefit from baking in a glass dish like Pyrex as it browns the bottom better than metal will. But like Heather said, you're doing a biscuit thing, not a standard crust. Try it with a standard crust? You can roll it out on plastic wrap to transfer if it's a problem for you. I use my plastic wrap over and over too so it cuts down on the waste.
  10. 2k does not sound like a lot. But I'd do it myself.
  11. Hey Squeat, is your Safeway still a freakshow and dating spot after midnight?
  12. I love shopping, but wish I had a betterselection of places here in the city. I'm with squeat
  13. This is true. Plus, you can get awful sick of eating the same food day after day.
  14. I imagine you could flavor the sugar as you would, you know, flavor sugar. How many times have we been told to put our vanilla beans into the sugar bowl? Just add whatever herbs or spices to the sugar and see what happens. I'm thinking dried sageand chilis might work nicely. I'm blanking on everything else.
  15. I just puked reading that.
  16. Plain bagel dipped in salt. Just for the record, bagels with tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, chocolate chips or any other such maleficence, is no bagel at all.

    Welcome to Sunday Drinkin' Club.
  18. Last time this year! And maybe ever. And maybe not at all. Saturday the 13th (one week from yesterday) I will be selling my cookies, pies, PdQ, and whatever else at the good old Bloomfield Farmer's market. ON the other hand, I have heard that train service maybe spotty or non existant which would make getting back home pretty tricky. If there are no trains running, I'll not go at all. Why am I writing this? Because if I wait, it'll be friday night before I think of it again, and that's short notice. If you remind me of it, it's a better chance. Now to go investigate NJ Transit.

steakas, that's only a 42 pounder? It looks like it should weigh more. Beauty though.
  20. If you insist on bumping this, I must continue to declare that probably 90% of the time I am only eating oxygen, with choice bits of carbon dioxide, hydrogen and maybe some tiny bit of the noble gases mixed in. {Grumble}. Some sort of diety thing? In the middle of a litre of warm water. I'll have a pear soon.

OH, I don't know where. Kennedy's? Good Guinness, convenient for those in my neighborhood.... M, I'm sure they'd keep the music low if we asked. Art Bar is caddycorner from Jane. 13th st.? How is everyone for drinkin on Sunday afternoon?
  22. They don't have Philly cream cheese down there???
  23. Host's note: the original topic, "Snacking while eGulleting", became too large for our servers to handle efficiently. The first part of this topic is here. Now that it's fall and nearly winter, I thought it would be a good idea to bring this up again. Potato, onion, cheddar chowder which has been simmering all day.
  24. I think the reasos why it seems so gross is because we hope all tea and coffee we drink will be fresh. The fresher the better. And have you ever saved coffee and tea with milk already in it? Yuck.
  25. I don't know why I asked. Either option is kinda grossing me out.
