Oops. I meant the disgusting food one from here. Can you tell me how to do the link thing, or where I find out? I actually just found it by searching haggis soup. But thanks!
I'm sorry, but I have lost complete confidence that anyone has any taste in burgers from that thread. Swill! 95% of those places serve vile burgers, and the other 5% I've never been to. Seriously, crap to the nth degree.
I just started reading, and am happy to report that I totally concur on the Corner Bistro front. If I hear one more person telling me to go to the Corner Bistro for a GREAT burger, I will box their ears. More later.
So basically, it's great meat cooked well? I haven't had a great burger in three years. Other than my own. Actually, I can count the great burgers I've had on one hand.
Sauce is my favorite food. But if it's poor, it belongs nowhere on my plate. If it isn't integral, or complicates the dessert, get it away. It it's dotted on the plate, what's the point but irritation? There's too much coulis in NY.
When they opened in my neighborhood (72nd St., NYC), I went immediately, and got cold donuts. I went again. And again. I just noticed the sign was no longer lit. I wonder if they HAD to turn it off, or if it just blew.
I've always heard that after steeping beans and scraping out the seeds, you should rinse and dry them, and put them in your sugar canister. I would even try this after trying a simple syrup, as you said. Great site vengroff.
I make ginger tea a lot. I slice the ginger very thin, simmer it and add water to the pot all day. Is there any nutritional value to the ginger after all the taste is leeched out?
