Special Star Wars cocktails at the United club at Orlando. Both tasted faintly of soap and were left behind.

Another player enters the sous vide field: Paragon Induction Cooktop

This is 8 inch cast iron pan on Paragon. It seems to be heating much more in the center than on periphery. -
Kinda shepards pie. Roasted duck covered by left over potato salad (don’t knock it till you try it) heated in CSO 350 steam bake for 25 minutes. Egg on top becaue it is breakfast.

Dining solo so I can eat things that DH doesn’t care for. Like marrow bones that I adore. Cooked in CSO steam bake 350 for 15 minutes.

Nothing in my bedroom is getting any younger either. And that includes me

I did not cook any of the food, LOL. Several adult children of several divorced/remarried couples did all the cooking. It’s good to know that people in their 20s and 30s enjoy being in the kitchen.

I had one roasted beet, half of day old avocado, very (and I mean very) ripe pear. Blue cheese and cashews sprinkled on top, dressed with lime juice and olive oil. Must go shopping for herbs.

Try this one https://food52.com/recipes/9115-slow-roast-duck I used 275 convection bake flipping the duck every hour (starting with breast up) without additional piercing of the skin (pierced it real good the first time).

I will never again grab a hot bread baking Emile Henry pot with a flimsy kitchen towel. The bread was safely rescued from the rubble.

Good question. Adult children from many different parents/families cooked the dinner. I was seriously impressed with the food. Mazel tov to their cooking skills.

@heidih shockingly it was mashed potatoes with something added up. I did not partake. The hostess was pleasantly amused at my request to take pictures. I was shocked that nobody else was taking pictures

@Shelby its Georgian style bean salad called Lobio. The gathering was mostly Russian Jewish community from different parts of the former Soviet Ubnion. This particular crowd was not keeping Kosher as you can tell from the pork belly roast photo. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lobio

I spent Thanksgiving in LA with my cousin. We were invited to her current husband’s ex wife family gathering. There were several adult children involved on both sides of the family. And a lot of mutual friends. And two mothers in law. Things were refreshingly civil.
