My loot has started to arrive. the UPS truck is zipping this way and that I looked up my orders and noticed the iPot delivery had been changed from Monday to Thursday #%R*T@#%$^#_^%_^#%^&@#+% out of curiosity I called them their customer service is really quite good for a company so large ref. the trim im using for Prime etc etc etc they said sometimes when their are too many orders , it has to come from the vendor But I asked again , so , Prime means what ? but very politely now the iPot has been rescheduled for monday. so , did they then reschedule some one else's iPot from Mon to Thurs ? these are mysteries that have no answer. BTW Im always very polite to customer service people , where ever they are Id last about < 10 minutes in that sort of job.

I did miss the 99 CSO but I have back ups ! I also have back ups of the outstanding CSo including the one you mentiond I think I got it for a similar price. very little temps be as I don't have need for much an 8 qt iPot might have tempted me bot so so far , I snagged w my Free Prime menbership a plug thing that give me two standard plugs and 4 powered USB ports for when I port this iMac over for non- internet use ( 32 bit important software that I can umgrade ) which give me two ports for this iMac and its seen d screen frees up a one outlet I use for USB power to power up the few portables I ahve im please to report a 27 % Savings ! it will be her Sunday ! no matter that its initial cost was 17 $$ and change 27 $ is still 27 $ !

As now Im a Prime Member I went to the AMZN site and noted future deals I found 3 , but might go for 2 as a later deal was more interesting than #1 and supersedes it. I have noted this : Prime Membership is a Disease that possibly , more like probably has no cure. just so you know, and have been informed.

@Anna N congratulations on the Ham and Cheese Melts. when I can remember , being famished and forgetting the extra step a traditional H&C , made in your personal style mine being H&C , good quality fresh bread , lettuce , tomato ( the best you can find ) Mayo of course , possible some horseradish makes a find sandwich. a much better sandwich would be one where you put the M&C in the Micro to melt the cheese carefully stacking the H&C so the stack fits the sandwich perfectly and now you get a hot sandwich. for some reason , with my tastes , the heating up of RB&Swiss , or Turkey& Swiss doesnt do as fine a job as Something from a Pig. Mortadella , g(G)od's bologna , no pistachios please is elevated if you Micro the M&C first.

m sorry for opening a new thread but there is it Black Friday or B Thursday is coming up I am not a member of Amazon Prime as I am not in a hurry and Id like to not pay twice : the prime fee , and my purchases however In ordering some books yesterday Amazon offered me a free 30 day Prime membership I agreed Ive noted the day to cancel My idea , is you use Amazon , and not a prime member and don't choose to be one as all the Great Swells do you might look into buying somehting at amazon , and if they offer you """ 30days free for Prime " as long as you remember the date to cancel you might be3 able to take some advantage of the Black Friday Deals

Im not a fan of paying twice. I am not an Amazon Prime Member as I don't choose to pay for a fee that gets me stufff I don't really need .... for me a Amazon they offered me a Free 30 day prime menbership OK Soooo seamy good deals Id like o hear about it. for 29 days cheers

@Kim Shook I look at your question this way : Slowcookers cook meat in a similar manner to cooking them in the oven in a covered pot. you have noted : " the meat tends to be a little on the dry side. " from a crock pot. its also that way w a traditional braise or stew. the meat contracts at the final ' pot ' temp , which is greater than 130 F possibly as high as 170 to 180 F that squeezes out moisture and fat, from the meat. that's where you gravy flavor comes from. Braises are better the next day as the meat muscle relaxes and some of that Jus goes back into the meat. but its still going to be ' drier ' than that same meat cooked SV 130 F + as you add more SV temp , the muscle contracts a little more and thus more Jus in the bag. I like to try to keep at least most of the jus in the meat. so : cook your meat SV to your desired temp , and BTW you get tenderness in tough cuts but picking a longer SV time. use the jus in the SV bag for your gravy . it looks awful , but it will taste fine. the conflict here is that at say at SV 140 F you will have less Jus in the bag , than say at 180 F but at that higher temp , you will get ' braise ' meat , ie a little dry you can not create flavor out of nothing. so if you want a full flavored gravy , and want tender succulent meat ( SV 130 - 140 F ) you need to find a flavor supplement that does not come from the meat. this seems complicated , but is not.
