BTW Meat means Beef as far as I can tell as there is a very similar tub next to this that says Turkey
-
a few days ago , I really really wanted lasagna and yes Ive made it in the past and I was Soooo Goood ! but , I went to TJ's , a bit hopeful as the Turkey Not-Pot pie was very good for so little effort Bingo ! de-wraped : CSO'd w TJ's tiimngs , on Steam Bake this was quite nice , but I forgot to add the tin-foil if using an oven still mighty tasty , but the ricotta was a bit dry, until I get my Lasagna / Stuffed Shells / Cannelloni al Forno big time Mojo back ................. this would be fine , but Micro's as directed , w some personal torching on the top TJ's cibata bread , toasted on the side.

WoW ! this price can't last for long.

I got these today at Tj's : https://www.bhg.com/news/trader-joes-turkey-and-stuffing-chips-are-here-to-jumpstart-thanksgiving-snack-season/ I was weak. they were thick and crunchy and I liked them they are a little like turkey stuffing. I should be glad they didn't have less salt , then I might get another bag or two. I try to avoided Commercial Dose's of Salt.

@CatIsHungry interesting analysis one has to be very careful w what's on the internet re factual content. it seems that Prime , the older version was very successful I can't give you the numbers from the WSJ or the NYTimes which are vetted and have a reputation to uphold. not everything JB ( speed dial # 1 for me ) has done well : a dumb-ass phone , they could not give a way ? a similar tablet ? a WholeFoods that's not here nor their yet for them ? it seems its going to take a massive investment from Amazon they say 1.5 billion $$ more than the 800 million spent so far and those funds come from other areas of this business for same day delivery to be profitable. I really doubt this will happen but what Amazon has done in the past after mistakes , sometimes expensive mistakes are made they shut the mistakes down , and move on to new initiatives. their might be a place for several hour delivery from WF within a careful demographic but I doubt for non-perishables "" on products typically bought at grocery stores or pharmacies ""

C. Fine [ more for me . it would be a delicious triple creme bleu , or a nice ripe camembert ] you would do the same.
-
@teonzo give Morgan Stanley a call : 1 (888) 454-3965 and yes that's their number no need to say anything or guess : same day shipping is costing Amazon more than it makes for each shipment can't last possible a big mistake. and Ive got skinny in the game

I agree @shelby toughen up and get out there crybabies , these days.

I remember way back when , when the Russians were going to nuke us , and they had drills where you hid under your desk as if that would matter .... there were home made brownies , home made cookies , and etc. indeed you and to have a costume worth explaining . and home made ! for a while i bought cheep candy , in the bags. then I bought good candy , and sometimes ate it all for a while two weeks before halloween , Rite-Aide had the cheeps good candy. then the price went up. last year , 4 bags of good candy , $ 10. had to buy 4. although the candy in the little bags gets smaller each year , it was one to a customer at my place. so it didn't matter. now and for years I bundle up all the left-over candy , high quality stuff and take it to library as soon as they open. Ive been concerned that MC might want to escape, and for a while he was In Detention in the downstairs bath room. this year it was very odd : no rain , but pending and I have one of those dial programer thing-ids for the front porch light. this year I couldnt figure out how to turn it on. it has an on-off switch , but wont stay on. so Im hunkering down , with a 2 watt light on , trying to finish the last Jack Reacher book in the farthest space from the front door. why ask for trouble ? the computer is on ' sleep ' for less light. I feel like a criminal. even ice cold MR doesnt help. hoping for the best , but only a few packs of little screechers so far. all quiet on The Front right now. oh yes , I remember trick or treating for UNICEF too I think it was pennies. unlikely nickels you took your container to school the next day then the Brinks truck stopped by.

I posted this as Chipotle seems to have done much much better than anyone in spite of several early ' setbacks ' at their establishments. there is one very near me their carnitas ( not exactly beef ) burrito is tasty , well made , and attractively priced for the amount of food they give you.

this showed up and I found it interesting : https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/these-fast-food-chains-get-an-f-for-antibiotics-use-in-beef-supply CMG did well.

@chromedome " don't care for bleu with beef, which to me just makes the beef taste like it's several days past its "serve-by" date, " I see your point , or at least can taste it. i also don't know too much about the Spotted Pig maybe the bleu [ far more flavorful than blue ] on the burger was to evoke exceptionally well aged beef ? if an item was cooked into a dish , you are foolish to ask for it to be removed. GBP's cooked into a dish even if removed after cooking leave you w a dish flavored with GBP's reminds me of a story from La Belle France that I just made up : the Patron entered the 5 star restaurant in Dijon , France looking forward to a magnificent meal. after careful study of the voluminous menu , he asked the waiter for the Boeuf Bourguignon, but w/o the Boeuf, maybe the Chef would substitute chicken instead ? the Waiter , nonplused , said " Qui " Pointing to the menu , " we have that dish right here : Coq au Vin ! " smiles all around ! and I may not be able to hit the MR until the Urchins are given candy. but it might rain ! maybe hard !

@weinoo ' I take it back " We all knew you would. good for you.
-
@weinoo "" they're my employees for the duration of the meal "" that's a little harsh. "" I go to restaurants to eat, "" but you save yourself , only a bit , with " and have a good time " you can eat anywhere . but a Good Time is a Good Time after all.

@lemniscate "" Seems to me they are reducing the aisle cart traffic by 3-4 carts per fulfiller "" it comes down to " Personal Entitlement " all the rage these days. if WF has sold out of your favorite extra fresh Salmon , get their earlier , or get something else. maybe Amazon could institute a ' reservation system " for Ultra Prime Members for a modest fee. you just call in the Am , and they set aside that Salmon on ive for your pick up later. Amazon needs all the fees it can get , believe me Ill let JB know of my idea. after all , AMZN is not doing as well as AAPL and I have a very small personal interest in AMZN and AAPL. but Id never "" Pay to Pay "

Im unable to read the article. foursome reason MSN doesnt do well on my Safari. I agree that if a dish is made for a specific effect , order it to enjoy that effect or order something else. My new Thai Noodle place is happy to sub an item, but its a made to order sort of place , if you will. if a curry comes from a pot of curry sauce , and Id rather not have eggplant that's in that pot Ill have to order something else. if the eggplant is added " made to individual order ' I don't see the problem , nor do they. if their isn't a non-blue-cheese burger at a place , and you want a burger w/o BC even though the blue cheese is an add-on, possibly the chef is looking for a specific effect. but getting bent out of shape , which ever side of the " options ' you are on is just silly. maybe some of you remember the movie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Easy_Pieces if I recall correctly , Jack wants Wheat Toast. they don't serve wheat toast there. he orders a Tuna Sandwich on toasted wheat , then asks the waitress to ' hold the tuna ' PS : found the article here : https://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/dining/a29417746/restaurants-say-no-special-requests/ this comment is interesting : " “When I go to a place like Alinea,” Shook says, “I consider it the equivalent of watching a play. I don’t go to the theater and say, ‘I don’t want to see that actor’ or ‘Cut the last 20 minutes.’” " I also think that going out to a restaurant , even w well in advance reservations , w a severe dairy allergy is asking for it. "" The reaction was manageable, but he and his wife were livid "" their lividity is really on them , not Alinea . " We will do our best , but their are no guarantees " Alinea was correct in declining their second visit.

@JoNorvelleWalker " But in the long term is having orders exceeding capacity to fulfill a bad thing for amazon? " depends on the cost of fulfillment. Its my understanding currently those orders are at a loss to Amazon. Amazon's , and every other business's goal , is profit. growth at a loss looks attractive temporarily , but long term its not.

Amazon quarterly guidance was interesting to read about: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/24/technology/amazon-earnings.html WSJ left out some interesting detail that the NYTimes mentioned : for review purposes : Who needs Cheetos that fast?’ The number of individual products that Amazon sells is a key measure of its retail business, and unit growth had started slowing about two years ago. In April, Amazon announced that it was moving to make one-day shipping the default for its Prime members, a way to lift growth again. Brian Olsavsky, the company’s finance chief, said the offering had increased sales to Prime customers. “They are buying more often, and they are buying more products,” he said. Amazon expects to spend about $1.5 billion for one-day delivery during this quarter, which includes the holiday season, Mr. Olsavsky said. That includes costs for faster shipping as well as other expenses, like the lost revenue from customers who used to pay extra to get something in one day. The one-day offering lets Amazon get a bigger piece of consumers’ wallets on products typically bought at grocery stores or pharmacies. A typical order for items shipped in two days or more is $23.33, and Amazon spends $5.08 to fulfill and ship the items, according to a Morgan Stanley analysis. But for one-day shipping, the typical order is $8.32, and Amazon spends $10.59 to fulfill and ship it, meaning it loses money on many sales. my bold emphasis the WSJ mentioned that the Whole Foods partition of the company was not doing that well. sorry I can't find those quotes. the issue w home delivery , that is not mentioned too often is its cost relative to its profit. Ill have to go to a local WQF before noon and see the BumperCarts in action !
