  4. as some of you know , Ive depended on Target.Com who I dont work for to get some shelf stable food until I feel the risk of corona for me being at very high risk is significantly lower. yesterday I could , but chose not to as I feel Im OK now , order dried lentils , beans and the like. not available for Shipt delivery not available for store pick up , but available for 2-day shipping this morning I thought Id check. all are temporarily ou of stock for any delivery many of my items ' in the pipe line ' are bing delayed possibly 2 weeks. I dont mind at all. and im sure bulk wearhouse's have lots of these items that will ship out as soon as their are empty carriers available to ship them. wondering what the Freeways and Turnpikes are like these day lots of Semi-s barreling a long Id say.

    Dinner 2020

@gfweb interesting , unless Freud was mistaken Id always pic a potato over a cauli Cauli isn't that bad , really the potato starts off well ahead of the cauli flavor wise. good luck for the cauli to get itself spruced up so that it can Lap the Potato. but you might have fun trying.

  7. BTW im extremely pleased the owner treats her staff in very enlightened ways very rare its rarely understood that Owners ( and shareholders ) managers and staff ( workers ) are in an actual partnership working together to create product maximizes the final rewards , for all of them
  8. one last thing : what isn't mentioned in the financial report is the current value of the business which may go up or go down over time that value is not realized until the business is sold the business itself ( not probably the physical property ) is a long term investment , and if sold , its capital gains are treated at a relatively lower value than cash the value is returned to the owner or the owner and her partners im not an accountant , but I find economics interesting now if this business gets successfully franchised see where Im going ?
  9. salary for all employees is taxable at the earned income rate earned income is your W-2 , treated the same as cash taxes on this amount varies based on your AGI and Deductions no matter what rate that ends up being it can be much much higher than qualified dividends , or long term capital gains. for the same amount of dollars
  10. Im embossed i'm a few boxes behind not any more.
  11. @chromedome fine very interesting artilcle thanks for posting
  12. there are no real emoji's that sympathize w peoples pain and panic. and I can't figure out my personal risk factor for getting Take Out from Thai Noodle id very much like to support them and have some Duck of course ! Win Win hard to do these days its low , but not zero
  13. @ElsieD Id love to hear about The Mint, Royal or not it must be a fascinating business
  14. re: Fz peas , peas and carrots etc : some of my open bags have been neglected in the past. i found its helpful to add then to cold water , then more cold water until they thaw in the cold water . I wait some and most of them get rehydrated. then I cook I personally wish I knew what my risk factor would get getting takeout from a lovely small restaurant in my town : Thai Noodle ist small and they dont have many tables their take out service will keep them going until the dynamics improve I can afford to visit them fairly often , as mentioned above to inject funds into their and the local economy. and the duck noodle greenpeper corn dish is a taste of Heaven
  15. @chromedome interesting the S.C. can be quite Polemical OK : "" environmental and animal-welfare disaster that is the beef industry "" of disasters , this is indeed on the list. but there are dozens of others far far worse. so the simple take away : "" But do they make more sense, in the long run, than beans and rice? Probably not." If you're going to eat any burger, Heller adds, eat it infrequently. "" Rice and Beans has fed the world for a very long time. esp the poor.
  16. I was finally able to view @weinoo video contribution for some reason , impeded vids do not play for me and ' use original tag does not work I enjoyed the vid. put a smile on my face reminded me how much Spin commercial coffee has commercial coffee is always better when pitched in a heavy spanish accent. Juan Valdez individually pick each an every bean 4 tons a day. nothing wrong w coffee from Columbia its just a neutral neither here nor there coffee and mostly used commercially for stretching other beans w more distinctive chrateristics but its your cup , no one else's If you enjoy Columbian Coffee : good for you!
  17. @BeeZee and increased their personal exposure from very very low to very low
  18. @teonzo Ive been thing about your Ideas Im very fortunate to have visited Venice twice so long ago before the various Floods. Here is my New Idea : Ive always thought where I live I get fine Well Water in a pipe into my house that does not freeze something about depths I though about this some time ago: Why not an extra ( several ) pipes for 1) TJ's wine I like table wine of course not Shaws Benzene two pipes Red ad White table wine only you know , you pull the various leavers and Have a glass ! now Im intrigued about about another pipe : red sauce ! just putting that out for non- consideration
  19. @JoNorvelleWalker I do the same i use rectangular storage units this stuff: https://www.target.com/p/snap-and-store-small-rectangle-food-storage-container-5ct-24-fl-oz-up-38-up-8482/-/A-14695635 works very well creates a " brick ' that after Vac'd a is easier to store and no , I keep them and take care of them hopefully Until the End of Time
  20. Target , in my area has two delivery options : 2 day , free w $35 order and something called Shipt , hourly delivery same day or net day. you select time blocks of an hour. on-line it seemed to have suggested a signature req but that does not seem to be required here. its $ 99 / year. first 4 week free. in the past I dont require such fast delivery nor do I now when I place an order , the target system selected ' 2 day ' or Shipt by their own algorithm if they select Shipt , I can not manually change it to 2 day, for some reason I have two deliveries w Shipt. delightful people each of the, I asked why I couldn't just get 2-day by changing the selections before check out they didn't know but would look into it. I hardly need soup/pasta M 14. some of the orders cannon be filled. out of stock. I dont mind. I then go back and re-order what was missing. some of the soup/pasta/ChefB limits your quantities. Ive discover that a case of soup is 12 cans same for ChefB if I pick that amount , it all seems to come vis UPS. takes about a week I don mind. if I dont use what I have , based on my personal feeling of a potential Corona time line , it all goes to my local pantry. prices are 20 % more than a stores periodic sale price , and I know these prices as I use them when I make donations to my local food pantry. but , oddly , as much a dollar less than going into one of my local higher end family owned stores. maybe 80 less than Stop&Shop w the T;s RedCard ( thank full its now a GreenCard w a pic of GBP's on in ) give an automatic 5 % off. I love this because its exactly what extra stores have added to everything to off-set MasterCard and Visa's fee. by law stores may not discount cash by 5 %. but a store card can. remember way back when , you possibly had a dozen or more Store cards in your walle ? I missed that, the MC ( not The Cat ) and Visa took over. I offer this information , and I dont work for Target if you feel a personal need to use this service or any there for what ever reason you have. I consider my self very lucky
  21. @Anna N calamari , like the ones in your picture always brighten my day.
  22. i use 1 qt re-purposed yogurt containers I re-seal bags of frozen items several times after I take out one unit from the bag I can easily fit 6 sticks of butter into a bag , vac , freeze. I cut the bag , take out one stick , and reseal and ut back into the bag. I roast coffee. let cool , and vac. in 24 hours there is CO2 in that bag , Icut the bag open , and re seal. when I add a few says of coffee t my grinder , re seal the bag.
  23. didn't mention how many jugs I have on order and won't. the jug stream is slowing , to serve other customers I dont mind at all. there will be more at some point , and ill refresh my stash then. and its USA Marinara . sorry. no way the Marinara plant will shut down any time soon
  24. @teonzo excellent plan adding bacon , ep bacon ' ends ' diced Ive fount improves the cooked beans too
  25. I dont think they deliver beer. I do have about 1 doz cans of Hoponius Union. deliveries from Target are thinning out or being extended. I dont mind . Target sent an interesting and thoughtful email a fews days ago it would not be appropriate to copy it here but it mentioned increased cleaning of the physical store throughout the day and massive cleaning overnight quatities might be limited , so that all patrons can be served. I liked that later part. I have a 2-day delivery today im interested is what I get. Im doing fine. and extraordinarily lucky to have the Target ( or any home delivery service ) available to me and I also thankful that I can afford it.
