  1. and here are the rules, few though they may be. We'll be looking for pictures of wonderful costco or other club meals. If you feel you are able, prices would be great. I'm looking for round the world participation here folks! Let's hear who's in?
  2. TrishCT and Toliver's recipes have now been placed in RecipeGullet, along with all the other Brownie recipes. Please post your recipes to the Archive and provide links in the forums. Thanks.

  10. The main ingredients you use should come from Costco, but we do recognize that some things will just not be available. Your vegetables and meats for example could easily come from Costco, whereas the spices may not.
  11. Teams are the people who attend a potluck, virtual or real. For example, if you host a pot luck and invite 6 people, they are all part of your team.

    Spit Roasted Pork

Since we'll be spit roasting, I'm not sure what the drippings will be like. I could make a warm mustard sauce, but since I'm serving French Onion Soup first, I'd rather not have to get up and make a sauce.
  13. Beef Oxo cubes, raw. My son likes cheese, bread and butter pickles and mustard sandwiches.
  14. who needs excuses? I just bake. Because I want to
  15. Kathy, could you put some context around this for those on this site who have no idea who Sam Sifton is? Thanks
  16. Take your mother's Costco card without your mother . The Costco here in Oakville has splendid meat, and I'm damn picky about my cuts of meat.
  17. Brooks, this is just a suggestion in regards to redoing the cookbook in a useful software format...You could use an OCR program to turn the scanned cookbook into something editable. It might save having to re-type the entire cookbook. How about a cut and paste into Microsoft Publisher?
  18. Ok, the weekend of June 5/6th it is. On your mark, get set, go! Do it together, do it in conjuction with the Recipe Smackdown Contest, do it alone, or do it virtually with others, just do it
  19. I shall do so! They are facinating books. I've been reading them through this week, and haven't decided what to try first. ----Maggie, add another two for me this week. Collector editions of Sunset's Favorite Recipes I & II
  20. Chicken Pot Pie. . Here's the actual link back to the archive . We need several categories added to the archive. Just as soon as I can get Darren's attention, we'll work on it!
  21. I'm entertaining yet again this weekend, and because it's nice, we'll likely spit roast our pork roast instead of roasting it in the oven. I'm looking for a nice sauce to go with it, that can be made ahead of time and not fussed with too much at dinner. I'll like also serve a Potato Puff and a Tomato/Onion salad with a balsamic vinigrette dressing. Ideas?
  22. The objective here is to cook a meal using ingredients from costco or other club, and hopefully recipes from eGRA. The rules are faily simple: All "clubs" are eligible. We agree on a date, we shop, we cook, we report back All recipes should either come from eGRA or be put into eGRA. You can do it in real groups or at home with your family. One of the most interesting aspects will be to see the differences around the world in ingredients etc.
  23. We all got a little sidetracked I think Funny how life does that sometimes. Ok, so let's pick a date. How about the weekend of June 5/6?
  24. Be patient my child. Soon.. Very soon.......
  25. Employee X has graciously agreed to provide more of his story. Look for upcoming issues in TDG over the next several weeks.
