Ahhhhhh, the country where I was born. Are you in Amsterdam the whole time?
-
@Rieke3520 I apologize. I knew you were in Belgium, I don't know why I posted German. I've corrected the post. I'm Dutch, having been born in Holland but my mother never made anything called mustard soup. I'm looking forward to seeing the recipe.

It says " or chopped apricots 70....." was there a range for the apricots?
-
@shain Thank you! I assume it is the milk listed under the pasta that gets mixed into the caramel? And did you mean for the apple kugel to stop at 70....?
-
I dunno. Do you have any Dutch ancestry?
-
I believe it about the blood thinners, having been on them.

Hi Ria, welcome to the forum. I had a friend, many years ago go, whose name was RIA, although she was Dutch, not Belgian. What is mustard soup? Looking forward to your posts.

Oh my, I'm drooling over here. I have never seen a sweet dish using pasta that appealed to me until now. Any chance you would share the recipe? -
My sister does not belong to this forum but if she did, tonight she would say " when sitting at the dining room table, I will never again shake the whipping cream carton without first checking to see if the cap is on it".

Why the "yuck"?

Egads! I forgot about the ribs (backs only please) and the bacon!

Pan toasted bun, mustard, dill relish/pickle and onions.

I made a loaf of sandwich bread this week using this yeast. Has anyone else used it? The packet contains a bit of rye flour which is why the bread is darker in colour. Very good bread.

I think pork shoulder or butt are my favorite pork cuts.

StainedShirt. Great name and welcome to the forum.

We had this again last night. There are just the two of us, and we eat the whole thing. I like the idea of adding some lemon juice, I'll do that next time. I also like the broccoli idea, I may try that as well.

What has happened to me is that phyllo goes soft if it is covered while it is still warm.

I made a Korean chicken recipe for dinner last night that called for spinach. Half of it is left so I am making the shrimp dish again. It's delicious. You will love it with or without the spinach.

I bought it at T & T, the Asian grocery. They had several different brands but I picked this one because it was mentioned here. It comes in a regular version and a hot and spicy one. I have the regular one. Maybe @johnnyd could chime in and tell us how spicy the hot and spicy one is? -

The other day I picked up a bottle of Jufran Banana Sauce mentioned upthread. It so happened that we were having mac 'n cheese for supper and as I usually eat it with a side of ketchup I tried this instead. I doubt I will ever buy ketchup again. -
This is really interesting. My sister mixes Lipton's onion soup in her rice before cooking it. Maybe we need to start a new topic along the lines of "Cooking with Lipton's onion soup".
