    Last night's dinner, aka "What I had in the kitchen because I wasn't going out in freezing rain and snow"- sauteed chicken with a cornmeal coating, with North Carolina barbecue sauce glaze, with a side of steamed corn with golden gravy (nutritional yeast/stock/soy sauce/garlic gravy), over grits.

    Slow cooker Spanish garlic soup (with chicken added), accompanied by Portuguese rolls (not home made).

    3 bananas, sliced 1 medium onion, diced tbsp minced garlic tbsp minced ginger 1/2 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp allspice 2 tbsp black vinegar 2 tbsp honey 2 tbsp dark rum tbsp tomato paste tbsp soy sauce saute onion, garlic, ginger and bananas together. When onions get translucent, toss all in to blender with rest of ingredients, blitz until smooth, adding bits of water if necessary to help in attaining smoothness

    Oven baked herbed chicken breast over saffron rice with sides of roasted hatch chiles and slow-sauteed purple carrots.

    Tempura all of the things! (potato, radish, beet, jicama, eddoe,celeriac, broccoli, and kohlrabi ie:what I had in the fridge) with sauteed chard, and dumplings (spinach and ricotta, and pork and chive) from Dumps-A-GoGo

    Sorry, yeah, a bit of salt would work. I just only rarely use salt at all in my cooking (I make up for it using other seasonings), but no reason exists not to use it.

    Thank you! This has become my default method for making pizzas. 2 cups flour tsp baking powder 7 tbsp olive oil 2/3 cup beer mix flour and baking powder drizzle and blend in olive oil add beer,mix thoroughly in to a ball let rest about ten minutes roll out as pizza crust cook in oiled skillet for about three or four minutes flip, do same with other side add toppings let cook on low for about five minutes Although you can just cover the pizza and let the heat melt the cheese, I still prefer to put it under the broiler for a couple of minutes to finish it.

    Prepackaged but not canned. I haven't experimented with fresh yet- that will be a later project. Good taste and texture nonetheless, and it worked very well in the chili.

    Extremely mild flavour but pretty close to chicken in taste and texture. Less bite to it texture-wise, though. I'm actually quite fond of the stuff, and I'm not a vegetarian or vegan.

    Tonight's dinner- quorn slices with barbecue sauce over sauteed fennel, chard, beet greens, onion, and carrot, with a side of cherry tomatoes baked with shichimi togarashi, grey salt, and garlic powder.

    Fried tofu with a sauce of mayonnaise, chile-bean paste, scallions, and garlic, topped with quick-pickled shredded carrot, daikon, and cucumber, on a bun. Accompanied by weird chickpea puffs that I found at the co-op.

    Heh, it's my neighbor's business, and she's got a very silly sense of humour. She also has a very loyal and steadily growing fan base.
