The reason I thought this was funny is cuz Bordeaux is Merlot really. Remember that other Merlot thread? bordeaux, to me, is cab sauv with some merlot and a few others. i wouldn't say bordeaux = merlot. but, regardless, it was funny. we really can't help those who don't see the humor in it, and those who choose to poke holes in the validity of it all.

I've never been to either. elyse, there's a strip joint in bloomfield a few minutes from the market. i'll pick you up on thursday and we can shoot over. then we'll stop at hooter's and you can do a comparison and post our thoughts. bring pie.

did you mention egullet? i'm thinking maybe the person assumed you'd want the tasting menu? although i think they offer that to anyone at this point. but yes, call back to confirm the reservation and don't worry about it after that.

you've been to both? or is this just speculation. as a man i feel more comfortable at Hooters for sure. i think it's probably due to the fact that i feel uncomfortable around the people who hang out in strip clubs. i try to go to the "high class" strip clubs for that reason. they keep the riff-raff out.

mint goes well in a lot of summer drinks. both with and without alcohol. hell, mint goes well with just about everything.

more-oftentimes these things are more complicated (and expensive) than they need to be. as is life in general.

they have quite a bit. from food-stuffs, to plates and flatware, to pots and knives and everything in between. you'll pay a premium, however. you could easily spend 30 minutes walking around the store on Route 17 in paramus. depending on how much you like to browse.

because it's a happy enough middle ground? because you can't see tits at a real restaurant? because strip joints are generally disgusting and depressing? it's not as though guys are rushing off to the restrooms to rub one out halfway through their chicken wings and buds. eye candy need not be for the sole purpose of pornography or masturbatory fodder. and quite frankly, a lot of local bars' bartenders wear next to nothing as well. this phenomenon, which so many can't understand, is hardly unique to the Hooters and Bazooka's chains. although Bazooka's is definitely not as good as Hooters as far as i've been told.

i'm fine with that. and yes, i've worn a thong.
