    FASCINO

fascino said they were on the "Open on Monday" thread.
  3. i'm in.
  4. how is it going? don't tell me no one is logged on.
  5. can you define "prime". that is, what does it mean in real life? how is prime meat produced?
  6. i've seen some prime butt in my days. steven, this is the type of thing that you're supposed to do research on and tell us!
  7. it boggles the mind. think of all the posting a guy like me could do in those 3 hours. i have somewhat of an unwritten rule: i don't wait in line for dinner. well thats because you like mc donalds that makes no sense. but i'll give you +2 points for being funny.
  8. that wasn't very nice of the Rutts.
  9. Just did a Mapquest for directions. From Center City - 136 Miles. Basically turnpike to parkway to rte 46, stop at Anthony for a steak sandwich, to rte 23 and then head north. holly, those probably aren't the most direct directions. but we can get some input if people really need the most direct route...although the direct route surely takes one past Rutt's Hut for a quick ripper.
  10. and a f*cking brilliant steak sandwich it was. and some nice red by the glass as well. as far as "opening day", i have no idea what you guys are on about, as i am more a Rachel Ray fan, as Lou can surely attest to. Lou, what was that inexpensive red? i fergit, and i'd like to try to find it, even though it's merlot (our little secret).

    What's wrong with Merlot?

hasn't "merlot" been more in fashion than zinfandel? i see zins a lot less on wine lists, especially by the glass, than i do merlots, in the NYC area.
  12. sandra, do you think it will be hard to get in? or do you think the quality will take a dive. Both ok.
  13. So you believe in deduction over education? What are your criteria for credibility? Only things you are in agreement with? why do you keep making everying so extreme? have you read any other studies? do you think the entire "educated" community is in agreement with this one study? if you do, that's fine. however, i don't, as i've read other smart people's thoughts on this subject, and they don't agree with the smart people that you agree with.
  14. oh. PHDs. well then you must be right.
  15. do any of you homecooks actually wear an apron?
  16. because no one has mass marketed them. get yourself a supplier, someone who can sew names, put a cheapo commercial on TVFN, and you'll move about 100,000 this year alone. the fastest million you'll ever make. and there you have it.
  17. i didn't realize rutt's had any kind of chili sauce. that's sure not the norm there!

    Spiking watermelons

i take a martini glass and fill it almost to the top with vodka. then i add some watermelon juice. i think it's basically the same thing you're looking for, but a lot easier. al dente, that's the funniest god damned thing i've read all month.

    What's wrong with Merlot?

i still think we need to differeniate btwn "chardonnay" the grape, and "chardonnay" the wine. same with merlot. unless some of the worlds greatest wines made from chardonnay are coming from someplace other than burgundy (and i'm not suggesting they're not).

    What's wrong with Merlot?

i *told* you that merlot was important.
  21. at which point do you cut the hole for the neck of the bottle of vodka?
  22. another amazing watermelon fact: they go well with vodka in the form of a "martini". very well indeed. how about softshell watermelons? get 'em just after they molt that pesky rind.

    What's wrong with Merlot?

    good ol' willie.
  24. i'd like to see watermelon in the shape of other fruit. like pears. that would be cool.
  25. "Watermelon -- it's a good fruit. You eat, you drink, you wash your face." - Enrico Caruso i hate watermelon seeds. but i do eat the white ones. that's normal, right?
