"Easy clean up" - ya hit the nail on the head for me. I think @rotuts has shared eating out the pot/pan as he is dining alone. Soup with crisper leftovers works even if no freezer stock - Knorr Caldo de Pollo powder plus fish sauce and some egg noodles softened in it. Or if I have MW Kettle Corn - with slice of cheese and handful of cherry tomatoes (always present) Cooking is my creative therapy but sometimes life just jams up.

I actually think it is cool to see the food chain. Lovely dosh you ade

Yes writer captured his zest and passion for life in that obit. I had to laugh at Nancy "admiring" the pastries - like she ever allowed herself to eat one.

Sure Paul will chime in. Herb flowers can be lovely. Often more concentrated than the leaves. I've always used them. You are the best judge of your own taste - give the leaf and the bloom a nibble and proceed accordingly

How would you do them differently to not let butter overwhelm? Warmed in cream then on toast or?

Interesting on the tomato skins. So your artichokes are well priced now or did you grow them? Bit of work to trim down?

Have to ask about the bird sculpture - driftwood? I went on a local garden tour once with lots of pieces made from the parts of the big palms that the winds blow down round here. V-cool

In a first house we uncovered oak hardwood under creepy orange, green, yellow shag carpet. Re-did with polyurethane finish. Beautiful (and kids allergies vanished) but unfortunately the kitchen was linoleum. Wood is a sturdy durable surface and lovely to look at. Sliding across in socks is also a favorite child activity.

Maple here. Was not my choice. I prefer 18 x 18 stone tiles for clean up and look.. Plus so bleeping drought dry here am getting some creaks. The mid century modern kitchen chairs leaked some dark glue but seem to have stopped. It is a very matte finish. 7 years old floor. No scuffs.

Only had them once. As I recall it was Patricia Quintana's recipe. I like sweet/savory combinations and enjoyed the dish - esp woth that creamy walnut sauce. Must revisit that sauce for other applications. https://www.mexgrocer.com/chiles-en-nogada.html

Your Daily Sweets: What Are You Making and Baking? (2017 – )

That is sweet My dad's Medicare Advantage provider came over with a cake for his 100th the other day. He is a "holier than thou" person about sweets so won't even cut into it - taking to bridge. Must be very dense as it feel like 4lb I'm told it is marble. Oh he ate tons of cake over his long life - this is a more recent Vogel (dialect for a bird fluttering in your brain) -
Or scarred for life by years of extreme dieting

Good explanation on harvest and pick here https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/eggplant/seedy-eggplants.htm#:~:text=Why Are My Eggplants Seedy – What To Do For Seedy Eggplants&text=Cutting into an eggplant only, harvesting at the wrong time.

The male - female eggplant thing is a myth that still gets traction on the internet! https://sciencing.com/difference-between-male-female-eggplant-13427476.html

I never have even on the big fat globe ones - but bitter is a flavor I enjoy. If you are enjoying your prep - hey - taste rules v. should

Look nice and meaty

Personally I would eat fresh rather than waste on sauce - but if sauce is the plan - I would freeze whole. As they start to thaw the peel will slip off easily (in my experience)

Ha! I feared for my adrenaline junky friend when he started on about instapot and air fryer!

When the ridiculous Bosch that was connected to the built in oven crapped out after only a few years - Lowes cheapest as Margaret asks - only 1, 2 ,3 minutes - no in between and on/off. Works great. Stand alone, not space hog, maybe $60US

Right but cross contamination can only occur if touching is involved or am I missing something. In the context of the original question - raw meat and eggs at first or second base

I've read about that style of manti and craved them. With your pic I really really want some, Thanks.
