  1. While all the people who've invited me to their houses are awesome cooks (I'm very lucky) - there have been a few dishes that were just terrible - but thankfully, there were many other dishes to eat. One was this sea-weed salad. I'm a vegetarian and never liked fish before, so - well, this made me gag. It smelled and tasted like raw fish. Another was this egg plant dish- the sauce was delicious but the eggplants were cut to around an inch thick and were not cooked at all. Itchy. Deezguzting... and another one was this spinach soup that my mom made for us- it was puky green and extremely bitter- but other wise, tha'ts it.
  2. Unfortunately we didn't have any food trucks at our school.. nobody seemed to care about health/providing the students with good food in any of the schools I went to- just had heaps of junk foods. No fresh milk or fruits even!
  3. I love baking breads and just started selling a few loaves every other day to help support myself... but anyway, the breads you make look so nice. :)
  4. There are 6 of us girls in this house, and we have our own cooking days- so we have home-made jams and meals. I usually bake breads every other day- and anyway, the last things I cooked were: chili beans, chinese fried rice, pochero
  5. I'm only a teener and my $$ is spread a bit thin most of the time, so I don't really get to buy a lot of cook books- but I do have 15 or so now- all the bread baking books from friends and family included with that.
  6. Personally, I think it can be a bit insecure of chefs to not say all the ingredients, but when it comes right down to it- if a good cook already knows some of the ingredients and knows the smell and taste- that person'll be able to figure it out. Otherwise, it's pretty hard to get a dish exactly as someone else does it when all you have is part of the ingredients.. the procedure is different with .. a lot of people.. eh
