early dinner. Since covid our dinner time has moved from 7;30-8pm to 6pm. An old Madhur Jaffrey recipe. Lemony chicken with coriander (aka cilantro) with mango chutney roasted cauliflower gin and tonics to drink

had 2 vaccinated friends over for super bowl prep started Saturday night at 11pm. a pork butt went into my smoker pulled it off at 2:30pm. turned off smoker and let it rest wrapped in foil in there. started with oven fried hot wings with homemade ranch dressing then pork homemade cole slaw and pickles with a little sauce. and some nice wines

my french neighbor used to grill rabbit legs on their gas grill. She made slashes into the meat and stuffed those slashes with minced pancetta, chopped garlic and rosemary.

a small 3.3lb boneless pork butt. scored the fat cap and made a paste of fennel seeds, garlic, dijon mustard and olive oil. rubbed that all over. cooked at 275F until internal temp was 140F. then blasted in a 450 oven for another 10 min. No picture of the roasted broccoli with shallots served alongside. Foillard Fleurie to drink

Cranberry beans from dried cooked and dressed while warm with a garlic, sherry vinegar vinaigrette. with roasted red pepper, prosciutto and underneath a good smear of romesco grilled spatchcocked chicken with a "board sauce" fresh dill shallot red pepper flakes and olive oil. no picture of roasted cauliflower with parsley and parmesan Some wines (for 4 people)

We had chili last night. A Kenji Recipe using just dried chilis and no tomato. Serious deep flavor. Used a 3lb chuck roast cut into bite size pieces. topped with pickled onion, pickled jalapeños, chopped raw onion/cilantro and sour cream My vaccinated friend came over and brought this new release Rhys Alpine pinot. very new world and fruity
