In the mid 1800's thousands of Scots came to British Columbia to help build the colony. I believe a lot of them married Indians. That's how bannock got to the West Coast of Canada. It's known as a First Nations bread often served with salmon. Any corrections gratefully accepted.

First Nations. Wiikwemkoong Reserve is on Manitoulin. Fry bread is the same as bannock I think. I have been wrong a lot lately so take it for what it's worth!

Ontario grows really nice strawberries. Much better than some other provinces. I don't know if it's the combination of humidity and heat or what but the summers I hung down there I couldn't get enough. You had me dreaming about fries the other night, I woke up with a start thinking I had over cooked them. Fries fries fries fries. Does poutine play a roll anytime soon?

I couldn't read it either and I wanted to be horrified too. Thank you.

He gave a lecture at the Culinary program I attended years ago. Very nice sweet man. Told it how it is in the industry but was very supportive. Congrats to Michael Smith.

I love oatmeal cookies and these look spectacular. I need to move closer to you so you can use my home for them. -
That all looks so good. I have been craving a roast dinner for so long. The people around here are so fat phobic that it would be difficult to find a roast with any fat on it. That's so sad to me. Hope you get your appetite back soon. Oh and how do you make your stuffing balls. I want them.

These are what I grew up knowing as Scotch chips. We used leftover pancake batter for them. They are so delicious.
