I TRY to avoid sweet snacks, but it frequently doesn't work. To aid me in that effort, I love good half-sour pickles, cheese and crackers, cottage cheese with Old Bay Garlic and Herbs, and as much bacon as I think I can get away with. Oh, yeah, MUNCHOS!
@The Fuzzy and C J Phillips: We have several "What the heck is this thing" threads, and Andisenji is our guru. If you'll take pictures of the "stuff" (technical term, that) and post them, you might be surprised at what you'll find out!
Unsweetened cranberry juice? I guess it'd have to be homemade, I've only seen it sweetened in stores, but maybe a health food store would have something?
k43, you might enjoy Old Bay Garlic and Herb, as a sprinkle. I REALLY like it on cottage cheese, or in scrambled eggs. I also have a feeling it would make a sliced tomato very happy!
If you want to bring your own different containers, like Tupperware, weigh them first, and mark the tare weight on the outside with a sharpie. Be honest, though, and don't tare something at 15 when it's a 2!
I'll have the beef & onion, thanks! Is that a single serving, or are they meant to share? Is the pastie all one type of filling, or is it double, with apples at one end for dessert? Edited to fix beef, cause it's not beer in the pie.
Please, at least post them here on RecipeGullet, so you can share them with us and our progeny! Have you checked with more distant kin? Maybe they'd like the recipes, too!
I also love the Chick Fil A slaw, and they used to have a great carrot and raisin salad, too! Where can I find the recipe for the cipollini dip? I checked your cookbook, but if it was there it was hiding from me.

Four more for me, The Frugal Gourmet Cooks with Wine, The After Five Gourmet, The Shooters Bible Game Cookbook and another one whose name I can't remember, since I'm not at home to see it... (Computer died, $&^*@(*{]{|\...!)
My favorite local chain grocery, Publix, is REALLY good about scanned prices. The cashiers know their produce, and if a price is called into question, adjusts are made very graciously. (I can't afford Whole Foods...)
