Its just such a great way to enjoy fish without having the downside of being forced to eat it the day you buy it.. You can keep it around and serve it midweek if you want.. It also is very easy to handle. This was my first time making it but I see myself always having this on hand..

Of course you get it Rachel I find what you and your family share is far more beautiful then anything I could do.. I am sure people with less emotional knowledge could tell us the purpose behind this.. But you know what this means to you.. One of the most important events of my life was going to Spain for Xmas/New Years in the Second Grade.. My family spent the entire time with the family of my exchange student.. They owned a few restaurants and really got me in to food.. The 12 grapes at New Years especially stands out.. With each chime of the clock, a grape was to be eaten.. Representing sweetness, prosperity, and every thing good for the next year.. I want to do something like that for this New Year.. I have a some time to prepare for New Years.. I was thinking 12 different grapes in marinades.. Or a shot at the New Year that consists of 12 grapes.. I just think the 12 grapes are important.. Whats the best way to serve them to each guest...Lets start a new tradition here..

Dinner tonight was a surprise.. I bought salt cod and wanted to make this a practice run.. It turns out the recipe I used was just awesome! My photos are not however.. The only plate that came out good photo wise was the one I made for my doorman.. The rice I added two boullon cubes and some saffron.. It was salt cod baked with potatoes, onions,green peppers, capers, in a tomato, lime, garlic, wine sauce.. Word The meal, enough to feed six was like 8 bucks.. Thank you for the recipe.. Being that its so cold out, I decided to go with something easy and which I had all the ingredients.. I poached the cod. Placed it on a bed of sliced potatoes.. Then covered in a mixture of lime juice, white wine,canned tomato puree, olive oil, garlic,capers,onions and green peppers.. Baking till the taters are done.. Hope its good.. As I am looking at this picture I wish it was like something more like jackals idea..If this was in like a milky floury and tater gratin.. Maybe a bitter green.. Would it be heresy to add cheese and get rid of the floury roux? Maybe bread crumbs on top...

Thats a great idea... I saw where Fergus Henderson adds a poached egg on top of with an eight minute boiled egg as an app.. Truffles sounds like an awesome idea too.. I completely forgot that it was served for breakfast! Now you have sent me on a search for ackee too.. And what are those fry breads called..Festival or Royale Bread.. I think this weekend calls for a Jamaican Breakfast..

Is Rosa Mexicano being considered as good food here? I am confused, are we talking about that shitty trendy restaurant where people go for frozen drinks and Guacamole.. Or is there some other Rosa?

I went to Neo last night for the first time in a few years.. I am glad to see it has lost a lot of its pretensiousness.. Which actually made the experience a lot better..I still think they have problems seating people.. With open tables, the hostess was putting people on top of each other.. Luckily, we remained pretty secluded.. Dinner was 200 bucks with four drinks, a couple appetizers, and not many pieces of sushi.. The fish is of very high quality.. The plate presentation is really pretty as well. It just struck me all as very boring however.. The Tamago has the least taste out of any I have ever ordered.. Created my own roll there.. Got a lobster roll with avocado and Tobiko.. I would go back, just cause its close. The cooked food looks a little more interesting.. Has anyone had the tasting menu there? Is it more of a value then ordering pieces..
