i can't say ubiquitous necessarily, but there are a lot of shortcuts that i think will eventually become a lexicon of Indian-American cooking. I think it will take a while to happen tho - but eventually it will, if Caribbean-Indian cooking is any example.
i know in my area it's because all the koreans run sushi restaurants instead. there's actually a korean bbq/sushi restaurant near me - i like korean food.
office catered lunch - so ham and turkey on some fabulous whole grain bread with some very tired pasta salad, and very nice roast red potatoe and bacon salad. (might get seconds on that) good stuff.
oh my. that doesn't sound right at all does it? what i meant was - if i were to drink a beer with food, it would be heineken. but that is my preferred beer if i were to drink a beer in any situation. i wonder how red stripe would go with indian food? (south indian food in particular)
i went thru popeye's drive thru today. and had to wait for about 15 minutes while the guy in front of me was trying to get someone to wait on him. on his bicycle.
word. i tried that one year. never again. i do like roasting them and eating them out of hand - when you roast them, make sure to score the shell. if you are feeling really adventurous you can roast them all, spend the time to shell them (not fun) and use them in a stuffing recipe (i thought it turned out pretty good - cornbread, chestnuts and sausage), or get adventurous with desserts, they would taste pretty good with a glaze on them.
now i can really play... bacon lettuce and fried green tomato on whole wheat toast with pimento cheese spread and pepper-pear relish, and a tomato cucumber salad on the side. and coffe and donuts ice cream for dessert.
yes. altho the way i did one was by eating a ratio of 75% fat to 25% protein at 2000 cals a day. No fasting involved and i hit ketosis within a week and a half. after that i added in 30gs carbs a day pre-workout.
hmmm..not sure yet - right now i'm on a culinary lunch tour of downtown Atlanta, with one splurge a week. So far I've had some fabulous jerk chicken (best i've ever had, i'd say) and some mediocre pad thai. i'm not sure what's on today's menu - i'm waiting to get hungry.
which reminds me - i've got some california rolls covered in masago that i bought on saturday and haven't gotten a chance to eat. i guess i will have to do the sniff test.
does the Madam's organ have a transvestite hostess? if not, i think it should. and she must be fabulous. i realize they are two different words but I can't see the sign for Aureole and not think nipple.
i knew i'd seen the idea somewhere on this site before! edited for stupidity. hmm...i wonder if you do a thin layer of poprocks, and then a heavier layer of sugar, and then torch that whether that will give the poprocks some shielding. they would still sort of activate from touching the creme part tho, i would think.
cannibus sativa is pot. gongura is another animal entirely. ummm..as for fiding it - i've seen it on occassion at farmers markets down here, but i don't know about NYC.
here's another one that i've never heard of..... http://www.bucketshopcafe.com/menupage.htm also cafe intermezzo in buckhead stays open with club hours...i think it's hip but i don't really know anyone that goes there. there's also the elbow room: http://elbowroombuckhead.com/location.html fado's irish pub - for pub food (club hours) fellini's pizza is open til 2-ish....
http://atlanta.citysearch.com/best/results/8496/ here ya go - my picks would be vortex ( burgers and tater tots ) close at 1:45am ok cafe - there sweet potato is to die for close at midnight i think and the landmark diner (not the buckhead diner - this was hte one i was thinking of) open 24/7 another one on their list is Atkin's park - i haven't been to the one in-town, but the satellite out in the burbs is pretty good.
