  1. while i love homemade mac and cheese - nothing like kraft blue box mixed with sauteed seasoned canned tuna for comfort food.
  2. w00t!!11!
  3. you mean i don't have ot go back and edit everything i say>??
  4. *lol* wouldn't it be great if you could just let them go unedited and people still understood what you were getting at?
  5. sure. as long as it has onion soup on the menu...
  6. that's part of my issue too, peanutgirl. this is one of the few sites i use, where i actively go back and edit myself (mainly because people can be nitpicky here and don't really know me), but 1. I can't type 2. when my carpal tunnel decides to act up, i minimize as many keystrokes as possible. so if you catch me on an off day, my posts look like my cat might have typed them.
  7. Has anyone been reading tommy's Thoughs on a trip to Italy? that was Microsoft Word's fault. not capitalizing is just a little bit that i do to set myself apart from the rest here in cyberspace (although i'm clearly not the only one doing this). the fact that it annoys, offends, or bothers some is a bonus. hey! that's not fair! i started doing this way back in 1993 for the exact same reason... (i do also admit to not capitalizing my name on business correspondence - something about walking softly and carrying a big stick...)
  8. hmm. sounds almost like barbecue sauce.
  9. this was the first thing that came to my mind...
  10. I thought sammiche was a portuguese thing. i don't use it, as I feel sorta like jinmyo does, but i've gotten used to it.
  11. i agree - the full flavor of any digital text-based community comes through with it's colloquialism and dialect. save the proper grammar, punctuation, etc for your books and articles, your formal correspondence, and emails to your boss. but for the love of god - please don't type like this: sINc3r37y!1!!! +ry5|<4 the homonym-impaired, ee cummings wannabe (2 733+ 4 j00!11!)
  12. mmm, donuts.....
  13. if i recall correctly my mother used a hammer and a nail state-side. (til she gave up and bought coconut powder instead )
  14. if it were me? le creuset a hot pink Kitchen-Aid a marble cutting board and a large marble mortar and pestle.
  15. i wouldn't mind...but I'm Indian and we pretty much eat everything with our fingers.
  16. *lol* interesting nonetheless. I've never had any experience with ready-to-use dosa mix, we always made it from scratch. but on your recommendation I will give it a shot.

gatorade is the best thing ever. powerade is some sort of chemical cousin to it.

    Coffee Mugs

a blue ceramic nortel networks mug. that is part of a set of 4 i was given in trade for favors. love those mugs. best company mugs ever. well aside from the clear glass etched mug with gilt rim i got from some employer, at some time. i forgot where...hmm.
  19. heeyyy......this looks just like the Barbi Twins pre-recovery list.
  20. i've found a novel solution - i just make friends with people who don't read. problem solved. (ok - i'm kidding - i just make it a general rule not to lend out books or money.) and erm..sorry for the pun.
  21. you really like the mix as much as from scratch BB?
  22. thank you so much slkinsey! i can't wait to try this over the weekend - i've got a 3 quart, so i'll have to reduce the recipe somewhat - or use my roommates big one.
  23. wow - very cool course! i understand where BB is going with his comment - I'm surprised that kerala does so little "frying" of it's bread, and so much steaming. very interesting tho - I had no idea their breads were so different. and the dosa technique was very helpful!
  24. ah yes ketchup is a key ingredient in fried egg sandwiches. that's about it for me tho.
