What's your vote for the best magazines for culinary professionals, culinary students and people very serious about cooking?

I don't think, at the serious/fine dining end of things, there's really much competition: it's Food Arts all the way. If you're talking about specific interests, like chocolate or the business side of the industry, there are other publications, but Food Arts is, as they say, "at the restaurant and hotel forefront."

The Art of Eating quarterly by Edward Behr. Not for 'industry' per se, but for anyone who is serious about in depth food and wine writing this little gem is a MUST!

I love Food Arts for the cooking side of things, but Sante is a good source for management and operation tips.

If food porn is your thing, you should be getting Art Culinaire. Sure, its $59 for four issues a year but it's worth every penny. www.getartc.com

Kevin -

That is pricey at about $15 an issue. Can you explain what you love about it? Great recipes? Great photography? Ideas for new approaches? New techniques????

I'll agree with Food Arts and Art Culinaire.

Food Arts is great for industry updates, profiles, etc. - and it's free!

Art Culinaire is just beautiful. Some amazing food photography and really more into the food rather than industry.
